Oh my god where do I even begin? Craziest episode of The Boys, in my opinion beating it's best episode until now, Herogasm. Quoting the director himself Eric Kripke, nothing will EVER be the same. Action packed, a lot of plot twists, and shocking to say the least.
No spoilers will be given but dear god my heart is pounding, I screamed a lot for this episode, you will have anxiety from start to finish and it will keep you wondering, what road this single episode will lead to the fifth and final season of the story.
Every character in this episode went CRAZY, every single one of them, best episode of The Boys EVER.

Made a whole account just to rate and write about this. This episode was the best episode in the whole entire show. Better than herogasm better than all of that. This was a top tier episode I promise you. Really good plot twists. Everything that you thought would happen in this episode ends up taking a different and much much much better turn. It's still taking me time to process all of this because it is too crazy. I need season 5 or gen v right away. I need it asap. I need to watch more I have jitters currently. I came in and started watching this episode thinking it was going to be a pretty good episode. Well they over exceeded my expectations. I love this show. I need more.
To be completely honest, this entire season could've been 3 episodes long and shown off everything that we need to know for the next & final season of The Boys.
Despite this, compared to almost EVERY other episode in this season, this one delivers on SO much more than any other so far.
Spoiler Free Complaint: As usual, though, Ryan is still a little poorly written/directed, many of his scenes could've been more smoothly written or acted out as to not have it seem like he's jumping the gun INSTANTLY in every single situation. It does make sense for his character thus far, though, so it's likely that this was intentional. Doesn't make it any less annoying to watch through.
Honestly, not much else to say after that. It's a great finale and a perfect setup for the final season, can't wait to see how all these characters are sent off in the final season!!!!

Season 4 of The Boys was clearly a set up season for Season 5. It lacked a clear central narrative and sometimes felt like a bunch of unconnected things happening. Fortunately, all of those individual plots and character arch's came together in episode 8 for an incredible finale. From start to finish, this episode is incredibly exciting. It is genuinely one of the best episodes of this show so far (second to maybe Herogasm) and it really cleverly sneaks in reveals that will change the whole dynamic the final season. Mainly, it injects some much needed momentum back into the show and I couldn't be more excited to see how season 5 plays out.
They Changed the name of the episode from "Assassination Run" (because of the Trump incident) to just Season 4 Finale though I hope they'll changed it into a thematic-one.
Kind of an Epic Conclusion despite me having minor issues. (Starlight v Shifter, unsatisfied) Wish there were some A-Train scenes. Direction and writing-wise, top notch. Pacing felt very cinematic too. Music choices towards the end were really good. Kripke directed this well. Butcher's last scene was justified because of how the events at Grace's went and if they're gonna go with the comic (I haven't read the comic but I know about all the important stuff), I'll be very pleased.
Tbh, after this episode, it feels like that's the only way this is gonna go now. The ending was beautiful. I'm trying to avoid setting the spoiler tag (because I want this to be read plainly), which is why I'm not spoiling anything. Anyways, great finale though lacked what I expected. It was more of a Character-focused finale rather than an action-packed and for that, they deserve praise. Looking forward to the Final. 9/10.
