A remarcapable comedy for all ages. Cinematography in Romania isn't dead. Great job for romanian actors. Keep it going!!!

Being nostalgic for old romanian movies and actors, I must say, "Ramon" brings to me a great surprize. It was enough to watch the trailer to capture my interest and after seeing the entire movie I must say I really like it. A funny and predictable story about the differences or similarities between the country side life and the big city life, making a perfect portrait of romanian manner of being. Great acting, great sound, good scenes with Bucharest in the night, good storyline for a romantic comedy. Bravo!!!

An easy watch with a lot of different sides to it. A mix of romance, comedy and action. Its best attribute is that it never takes itself too seriously. The blend of actors, both professional and amateurs is quite natural. The dialogue, unlike most Romanian movies, is understandable and witty. Compared to productions like "Teambuilding", the humour is not as low-brow and it contains subtle satire. The soundtrack is quite original and it elevates the scenes more than usual, giving them almost a holiday feeling. The cinematography is discrete and does not rely on excessive filters to induce a mood. All in all, one of the good Romanian movies that appeared in the last year along with "Weddings, christenings and funerals"

Well, I finally watched a Romanian movie without feeling that I lost hours from my life.

With a low budget, you can actually have a great movie if you have the right director, script and actors. A beautiful mix of romance, humor, some action and great soundtracks are making this movie a must see.

Also, if you are not Romanian, you can easily take a sneak peak to Bucharest at night, majestically recorded from the ground and air.

Final conclusion, great movie with great actors and a smart script! We should see more often something like this from the Romanian movie industry. Its not a must for every Romanian movie (except this one) to have lots of dirty words in it.

I had high hopes for "Ramon," but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The story seems to be an amalgamation of clichés and borrowed ideas from other films, without offering anything original or captivating. Although Pavel Bartos is a talented actor, his character, Ramon, failed to impress me or make me connect with him.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the film is the language used. In an attempt to be "verbally harmless" & "politically correct", it abandons any effort to add humor or authenticity to the dialogues. The result is a series of dull and boring lines that fail to bring any smiles.

Moreover, the introduction of the character Selly was a major negative point. Instead of adding value to the film, this appearance turned "Ramon" into a long commercial advertisement for an annoying pseudo-personality. The prolonged presence of Selly on the screen is truly unbearable and seems to have been added just to attract more attention and publicity.

Additionally, the film has numerous issues with continuity and character logic, which affects the credibility and coherence of the story. Some scenes seem to be thrown into the script without any clear reason, just to fill space.

The technical aspects of the film are only mediocre, with a cheap soundtrack and nothing impressive visually. This leaves the film without any visual and auditory impact, relying solely on the story and performances, which fail to compensate for the technical shortcomings.

In conclusion, "Ramon" is a film that is not worth your time. While it may bring a smile for a moment, the lack of originality, weak humor, product placement just for the sake of sponsorship and unconvincing characters make it unsuitable for more discerning moviegoers. I recommend looking for another more interesting and captivating cinematic production to spend your free time on.

It is the most successful Romanian film among those that have appeared recently.

It has exceptional cursiveness, great actors, beautiful songs, everything was just perfect and so nice to watch.

I cried at the end because was so emotional..

Keep going Pavel Bartos and the whole team.

Can't wait the next movie !

It has to be part 2... with Sonia together demonstrating to the others that true love does exist.

It was a pleasure to see all the good actors together and also recognise them.

This product, as this is not a movie even in the widest understanding of Bollywood or Hallmark feel-good movies, is an unchained sequence of scenes aimed lower than the average movie goer.

It does hit with the immature population, or the average commercial TV consumer, first going to see a movie at the cinema, but never exposed to anything that is mildly not a product-placement construct.

I had some hopes when I started this, but had written off almost all of it by the time the start of start credits, and all of it in the first half-hour.

Failing to see any reason to see this, I recommend to see it for commercials during a standard prime-time on TV. Have fun, it lowers IQ by at least 10 points.

This is one of my favorite modern romanian movies. It's very easy to watch, accesibile to all ages, with a good pace, excellent writing and genuine local feel to it. In some ways, it marvelously captures the Romanian spirit. The actors are very convincing, natural and expressive.

The story sets of in a rural landscape, a vineyard, and continues for the rest of the movie in Bucharest, Romania's capital. For those who live here or know the place, it's quite cool to follow the main character as he wanders through the city.

It's a good comedy by any standard. Go watch it and you'll feel good about your movie choice.

Beautiful family movie, relaxing and really funny comedy, great production, great actors, I had a great time while watching it.

Unlike other romanian wannabe comedies, this one does clearly distinguish among them. I don't regret watching it and I recommend everyone to do it as will cheer you up. Good job, 10/10 from my side.

Bromania and all the influencers clique should take notes and learn how a quality movie should be made based on a simple idea, but played with humor, with good actors, smart script without the usual cringe so often found in recent comedies. Great job Pavel Bartos, it was a pleasure to watch the film!

The script had a lot of potential to be a decent, lighthearted comedy.

Sadly, almost every aspect of cinematography that went into making the movie was terrible.

The most glaring issue that bothered me is the scenography and costume design.

It's like the people responsible for it have never seen, for example, a romanian country-side home and people. Instead they put together what looks like museum sets, where everything is perfectly placed and there is no authenticity. The clothes all look brand new bought from Zara.

Casting is terrible too, nobody fits their role at all, the "peasants" all look like corporate hipsters, the "bum" looks like the richest bum ever with perfect figure, hair, eyebrows, makeup, teeth...

Acting is pretty terrible too. There is an attempt to play some caricatural character like Ramon and his cousin, but the actors/directors don't really commit to the portrayal so what ends up coming through is half/half. Half caricature half serious, and neither works at all, it just feels forced and cringey.

The only saving grace seems "Gargaritza" who's the only good casting choice, in my opinion, and does a decent job portraying the self centered, yoga practicing vegan hip girl who faints at the sight of meat.

All in all, this feels more like a Youtube skit you put together with friends and an iphone, rather than an actual piece of cinema.

Oh and the constant and obvious product placement is annoying as hell too.

A very good movie I appreciated the unique story, the cast, it's captivating and surprising. I don't understand the complaints of others, I liked many aspects. It conveys something very positive, it's decent, professional, humane, relaxing. It's not kitsch, I think it's quality. It's very good after a hard day or at the end of the week, for the whole family. Very good script.

The image quality and the editing are good, the story is beautiful, it uses clever means, Ramon's naivety is relaxing, a breath of fresh air in an aggressive, rushed and bad world from which we need to get out even for an hour or two. I wasn't bored at all, the actors are very good, the ones I usually admire, I had some nice surprises. Numbers shouldn't matter, they don't necessarily speak about the quality of a movie. It's a decent, warm, friendly, funny movie, incomparable to others being produced in the commercial movie area in Romania. I really liked the Odeon theater scene. I would see part 2 of the movie, I hope it gets made, I would watch it with pleasure.

It's a movie that I recommend, the idea of a good movie is not just to impress, for me it's enough that there is a beautiful story, a good cast and an interesting directorial vision. There is much to admire in Pavel's movie.
