Sit back and prepare for a wild sci-fi ride with Agent Recon, the latest installment in filmmaker Derek Ting’s ongoing Agent franchise. Picking up where previous entries left off, this time our heroes Jim Yung and Colonel Green find themselves in a race against time to rescue captured soldiers from a secret alien base. Of course, it wouldn’t be much of an adventure without a few extraterrestrial surprises along the way.

Leading the charge is writer, director, and star Derek Ting as the alien-enhanced Jim Yung. A former nobody exposed to mysterious “ash,” Jim now possesses powers beyond those of regular folks. Teamed with the no-nonsense Colonel Green, played by 80s icon Marc Singer, their mission gets an extraterrestrial assist from the one and only Chuck Norris.

Have you ever wondered what happens when an action legend decides to make a comeback after a decade-long hiatus? Look no further than Agent Recon, the latest release featuring none other than Expendables 2 star Chuck Norris. The actor, who lit up screens and filled our hearts with adrenaline as a stunt performer rebel alongside Bruce Lee, rocketed to legendary status through iconic films like The Way of the Dragon.

Alas, Norris’ latest venture, Agent Recon, hasn’t exactly been met with rousing applause. The actor’s performance has been described as “largely motionless” with his almost mannequin-like presence on screen. One disenchanted fan humorously suggested that his on-screen action was so lackluster that it was as if he was a corpse propped up for the film’s effect, or at least a shadow of his former self.

Hulu’s hit series Only Murders in the Building returns for its fourth season this month as the crime-solving trio takes a trip from New York City to Los Angeles to solve yet another murder. But just because they’re moving coasts, doesn’t mean that Oliver (Martin Short), Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Charles (Steve Martin) can escape the deaths that keep plaguing their apartment building.

Hulu has planned to churn out some amazing content in August. From the premiere of highly awaited original shows to the streaming release of blockbuster films, the streaming platform has a lot to offer.

That’s understandable, considering the first film was so unmemorable I forgot I’d seen it until I saw the second film’s flashback scenes.
