Initial trailer was released with Prakash Raj's voice for Bachchan. Later, the voice was enhanced with AI to match Bachchan's voice. Similarly, "Manasilayo" song has AI generated Late Malaysia Vasudevan's voice, which was generated from his son Yugendhiran's voice.

Rajanikanth's trademark style of wearing glares was changed in this film. As he is shown wearing spectacles on which he puts glares in his trademark style.

'Vettaiyan' is scheduled to release on October 10, 2024, which was also the release date of the Suriya starter 'Kanguva' until its postponement a month prior. Interestingly, Rajinikanth also had a similarly-titled Bollywood film 'Ganguvaa' which released 40 years prior in 1984.

The film was released on Amitabh Bachchan's 82nd birthday alongside Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on eve of Dussehra.
