The setting is plain, the checkout section of a library. The constant banter of a co-worker on the phone drives the other character to seek distraction, but it does not make the viewer seek distraction. We are treated to a delightful glimpse of the central character's efforts to cope with the boredom and monotony, to say nothing of the aggravation, associated with so many jobs.
So rarely these days can we understand what is happening in a film, whether a short film or a feature or a streaming series. So it's refreshing to watch a film where we get it. We can all relate to this one, with an enjoyable central performance an an ascending level of comedic fun.
