Although this movie introduces a new element - ambulances, it still has that traditional old-school racing feel, especially with Andy Lau in the lead role. He's the eternal heartthrob, and his cool expressions haven't changed much in the past three years. However, the trailer's fiery dialogue sets the tone early on. It's all about speed, deciding who's first and second. Fortunately, the racing scenes aren't set in a typical racetrack, or else it would be tough to compare with the Gran Turismo movie from a couple of months ago. The Gran Turismo film had more focus on the characters' emotions, whereas Red Line surprises with its ambulance training sequence. All in all, I'd recommend waiting for it to stream online.
