"Hot Guys With Guns" is a must see movie. From the title I didn't really know what to expect. The first 5 minutes of watching this film you will get hooked. I've never seen a film that made me laugh one minute, and then had me at the edge of my seat trying to solve the mystery. Not only was I at the edge of my seat, but my wife was too. She was even talking to the screen as she was unsuccessfully trying to figure out the mystery. I have to say Doug Spearman did a wonderful job directing and writing this film. Mr. Spearman captured the true essence of Los Angeles with a twist. If you're looking for a great date night movie look no further. Oh!!! Did I forget to mention how beautiful the cast was? Especially Marc Anthony Samuel. I loved his character Danny.
A fun story from Doug Spearman. a who-dunnit, with a great crowd of hot guys. Stars Marc Samuel and Brian McArdle. Starts out like an episode of Archer, with the overbearing, silly, rich, drunk mother. All kinds of swearing, and lots of bare, hot guy butts, so not for the kiddies. but it is a fun caper. the cast is good, the acting is mostly good. the story itself kind of meanders all over, like a gay remington steele, but just go along for the ride. This goes back and forth, from being a comedy to a more serious but lightweight drama. pokes fun at hollyweird, as well as bond films (at least in the opening credits...). Written and directed by Doug Spearman (noah's arc, old dogs new tricks). Good fun stuff. surprised at the low ratings... its fun if you don't take it too seriously.
I love this movie. It is so much fun. I've seen a bunch of serious gay films recently. Some are well done, while others are laughably amateurish. Way too many have a "Kill the Gay" ending, and are depressing as hell. This film is well done (writing, acting, cinematography) and a joy to watch. The two leads, Marc Anthony Samuel and Brian McArdle, are sexy as hell and exhibit an obvious chemistry in both serious and funny scenes. Alan Blumenfeld stands out in a supporting roll. While Samuel appears to have s substantial acting career, McArdle doesn't seem to have done too much....a real shame. He's gorgeous and his comic timing is impeccable. Hallmark should grab him. He can be found on both YouTube and Instagram as the "cocktail coach," discussing all manner of spirits in an entertaining way. If you haven't already figured it out, I fell hard for Mr. McArdle, and would love to see him do some more acting.
Although I enjoyed Noah's Arc on LOGO- (Spearman and Stephens) that was low budget cable TV -this is film, which is supposed to be a step above cable TV.
The premise is cute and does have a different twist than a typical boy- meets-boy gay film which I admire but doesn't deliver. It's kind of like watching a reject episode of a gay Charlie's Angles. It's campy but it doesn't mean to be campy -that is the rub and why it fails.
I'm all for gay film and when I lived in L.A., I used to got to a lot of indie film screenings but this one misses the mark. I give it an A for effort but it still feels very low budge....

Have you ever watched the previews and thought you would really like a movie but after watching it it crush your expectations. I was expecting a little more from this film. It seemed kind of racist to me slow in action a little funny but not much The black guy was pretty cute so was his white friend. It seems like it was pretty low on budget and reminding me of Los Angeles back in the '80s. I would like to see Marc Anthony in something else I guess I should do my research to find more about him and what he has acted in this movie was truly a disappointment for me and it was pretty much a waste of my time.
