I had actually been looking forward to this movie ever since I first saw the poster/cover when it was revealed. Sure, I wasn't harboring any grand expectations, as there has been a bunch of questionable movies with animals on drugs after the success of "Cocaine Bear". But, the movie's cover/poster really was interesting, and the movie's concept was interesting.
And finally I had the chance to sit down and watch director Brad Twigg's 2024 movie "Crackcoon". So was it worth the wait? No, not really. Sure, "Crackcoon" was better than many of the other low budget movies with animals on drugs, but it was nowhere near the league of "Cocaine Bear". Sure, it was watchable, but it just wasn't an outstanding or particular memorable viewing experience.
Of course I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And that is actually something I enjoy when I sit down to watch movies. The acting performances in "Crackcoon" were fair. Of the entire cast ensemble, it was only actress Rosaria Eraso that managed to stand up in my opinion.
The raccoon looked rather fake, especially since it was relatively inarticulate and moved about in a lifeless manner.
The movie does have a fair share of blood and gore, which wasn't the best of special effects, but it was actually sufficiently gory enough to lift up the movie a notch or two.
Ultimately I found "Crackcoon" somewhat of a disappointing movie. But if you enjoy outrageous horror comedies, then you might consider giving this movie a chance.
My rating of "Crackcoon" lands on a four out of ten stars.

From the outset, the screenplay, direction, cinematography, and overall production felt painfully low-budget and reminiscent of D-list horrors. The film was so excruciating to sit through, it ranks among the most grotesque and nonsensical I've ever encountered. I was genuinely shocked by how poorly directed this film was.
Now, about the raccoon: it resembled a bizarre cross between an animatronic and a stuffed toy gone rogue. When it lunged at its victims, it looked like a prop pulled from a discount store. The attempts to create a terrifying creature fell flat, and the moments where they resorted to CGI were laughably bad. It was as if they had a limited budget and decided to throw together whatever they could find.

Now I am going to be as short as humanly possible. Please stop wasting your time watching this low IQ brain dead micro budget cheap looking pieces of celluloid.
Movie description: Not sure who makes those movies but they are awful and I mean real awful, from the script, to the story to the acting, and even worse the so called special effects. Its terribly filmed and it look amateur at WORST. Even if it was aiming at a comedy horror gender it failed on every way. The raccoon himself is a puppet and when it attacks the so called actor or cast hold it on place it's that hilarious.
P. S. I am a non bias reviewer critic and I try to warn you on what not to watch. First off this kannibalcorpsegrinder guy is certainly a studio shill who 100% has connects to these low budget independent films. There is no way this film is a 10/10 and is "near-flawless".
I know I am not the only one who reads his reviews and gets irritated by his constant nonsense spewing. Literally it is all lies. Please do not listen to a word he says. Thanks guysss! (Jericho voice)

Could best be described as a white exploitation film. No fear factor supplied by mediocre characters. Perhaps some acting classes and a non bubble gum budget could have made this film tolerable. The ratty assed racoon looked like it was designed by blind highschool children. The nude scenes couldn't save this one. The opening scene cuts to inexplicable morgue scene. The portrayal of the gay men was lame. I gave one star for the sheriff's wife's boobs. The best thing about the movie is that it ended. I am praying to the movie gods that there will not be a sequel. Mankind has suffered enough misery.

Based off of the name, people would associate this film as the inspiration taken from Cocaine Bear. However of course it's not nearly as good given the story, the characters and most importantly the budget. There's nothing special in this film. It's simply about a fake puppet looking raccoon who stumbles upon a bag filled with "rare" drugs, injects it then turns into a crazed killing machine.
The story is filled with a bunch of random intersecting characters with essentially the leads being an over the top unfunny couple, a woman and a sheriff. Jessa Flux also features briefly here and she has her customary shower skin scene plus more (1:13:30, 1:17:40). The film does pick up in the second half but essentially it's just not a "so bad it's good" film and it's not a future cult classic.

"Crackcoon" delivers exactly what you'd hope for in a film about a drug-fueled raccoon on a killing spree-and that's what makes it such a fun ride. It doesn't take itself too seriously and instead focuses on pure, unfiltered entertainment, hitting the mark effortlessly. Director Brad Twigg is a master at this genre and truly scores with Crackcoon, showcasing his ability to craft outrageous, sleazy horror that keeps audiences hooked.
The plot is as outrageous as it sounds, following the rabid raccoon as it tears through hunters, adulterous women, campers, and drug dealers. While the storyline is predictable, it works in the movie's favor, laying the foundation for absurdly wild kills and laugh-out-loud moments. The predictability only enhances the enjoyment, allowing viewers to sit back and revel in the madness.
One of the real showstoppers here is the raccoon itself, reminiscent of an evil version of the gopher from Caddyshack. It's ridiculous and unforgettable, paired perfectly with old-school makeup and gore FX that bring the chaos to life. The film doesn't shy away from blood-soaked moments, and for indie horror fans, that's what makes it a gem. It serves up a delightful mix of violence, humor, and pure absurdity, all with a nod to the indie horror spirit that never holds back.
Overall, Crackcoon is everything you'd want from a sleazy, over-the-top horror flick. It's unapologetically campy, laugh-out-loud funny, and delivers the kind of blood-soaked action that keeps horror lovers satisfied. Director Brad Twigg has knocked it out of the park with this one, making it a must-watch for fans of wild, indie horror fun!

This is one of those films that overall is pretty bad. I'm NOT suggesting anyone watch this expecting a decent film. It's a pretty horrible film.
But it's so bad.. it may be worth a watch.
Acting across the board is very sub-par, except for the unhappy wife wanting to go to Florida. She could act.
The worst actor in this is the puppet used for the raccoon. So, yeah, its a puppet.. clearly. Not an animatronic or CGI-generated.. a puppet on someone's hand that has as much expression as one would expect. Actually, I'm not even sure it's a puppet.. it may have been a stuffed animal glued to a stick so they could shake it. But that all lends to the comedically bad nature of the film.
The storyline is rather straightforward, and, well, the film title gives it away. It's just a basic slasher flick with an animal.
Has it's fair share of comedic lines, unfortunately the acting is so bad the comedy is often delivered poorly. But it is what it is. It's over-the-top..
The first bit is a tough watch. Just really, really, bad acting... But eventually the old-school sex and violence kick in... along with too much fake blood.. that's what makes it so bad it's worth watching.
To be clear... this film is BAD, really BAD... but it's so bad you may enjoy it if you are sick of the "universes" with their overly glossy CGI-based formulaic comic book stories.

I definitely was not expecting much when I rented this film off of YouTube. I went to the matinee on the day that Cocaine Bear opened, so I consider myself an expert in films like this. The first 30 to 40 minutes were uneventful.
But once the killing started there were many memorable moments that will stick with you, and for that alone makes this film, head and shoulders above many other films including other genres, too.
The raccoon was so awesomely scrappy looking without going in the detail, I just loved the over the top everything towards the end. And the gratuitous nude scenes, which is exactly where gratuitous nothing more we're great!

Okay, so the night i met my boyfriend, we were under the influence and we came home and saw this movie on the recently added section of our IPTV. We put this on and have been going strong since that first night we met. Expectations were low but this has become a favorite within our friend group. The acting is awful, the score is clearly royalty free music, the raccoon puppet is terribly made but this movie is absolutely hilarious. It's a riot from start to finish. I swear they pulled random people off of the street to act in this movie. By no means whatsoever is this a good movie, but it's at that "it's so terrible it's passable" point. Low budget movie all around. We LOVE this movie. If someone sees this review, I would love to purchase the raccoon puppet.

After a sketchy drug deal gone awry, tainted cocaine gets lost in the woods and gets devoured by a mischievous raccoon which turns it into a raving killer taking out everything it comes into contact with, and after leaving a trail of destruction in the woods turns to a group of partying friends.
Overall, this was a phenomenal effort with a lot to like about it. One of the finer aspects of this one is the admittedly cheesy yet still wildly fun setup that brings about the ensuing chaos. The first half of this offers up a strong series of interconnecting storylines about the residents in the community, whether it be the drug addicts looking for a new score, the friends going on vacation at a remote cabin in the area, or the other random locals that are involved with everything, all bring this one along quite nicely. The interconnecting story about the dealers distributing everything to the various groups as a way of spreading the whole thing across the community so that the first instances of it infecting people turn them into raving psychotic madmen while the raccoon is turned into a similarly maniacal and ravenous creature as a result so everything gets quite a solid start. That provides the framework for a slew of outrageously over-the-top and gloriously fun attack scenes involving the drugged-out raccoon going on a rampage. The initial encounters with the creature where it takes out the dealers or the disbelieving hunters allow for a great start to things as the raving antics of the creature are immensely fun at providing a way of realistically making such an implausible-seeming scenario come off. Other big attack scenes, with it raging across a campground or the wild scene involving it wiping out the congregation in the woods in graphic fashion, are equally fun and prepare this for the wild finale as it attacks the friends in the cabin taking them out one at a time in equally striking fashion. The gore in these kills are fantastically fun indie-style setpieces, and the concepts behind these scenes make for a great time when added alongside the gloriously cheesy puppet used for the creature that all provide quite a bit to like here. There isn't much to dislike here as the majority of the factors that can be flaws are mainly personal preference factors rather than genuine drawbacks. The inability to take things seriously in the finale where they constantly ignore common sense to continuously get themselves into trouble. After having spotted the creatures' handiwork across the countryside and found wounded survivors, the officer decides to forego getting them to safety to check on his wife which just feels quite unrealistic in the situation. As this fits in the story due to the resulting actions, that's not a big deal but does highlight the rest of the film taking on unrealistic and unnatural actions for the sake of the story. As well, there's also the usual slew of indie-based flaws on display that have to be taken into account, from the props to the make-up work, general presentation, and overall appearance that scream out its origins but aren't detrimental to this one unless that genuinely affects the viewer.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, Full Nudity, drug use, and a sex scene.

With previous low rated reviews, a couple clearly being the same person. I get that this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. Indie flicks, especially in this nature are an acquired taste.
On that note, Crackcoon delivers ten fold! It takes a little to kick in, and once Chris O'Brocki as Denny and Justin Martin as Frankie are together on screen, it only goes up from there! These are the type of cheesy independent flicks I really enjoy, it's campy and hits its mark every time, from the gore, dialogue and over the top portrayal of Frankie and Tim Hale as Carlos. Once Frankie takes control and you follow his character, I couldn't stop laughing!
If you aren't into indie films in the slightest, this isn't for you. But if you take the time to appreciate low budget indie films and the process, you'll definitely enjoy this! This is up there with some of the best of Fuzzy Monkey Films and Brad Twigg flicks!
Don't go in expecting Cocaine Bear, go in expecting a ravenous blood soaked Crackcoon!!

In the realm of movies that are so bad they're good, you can't go wrong with Crackcoon! Far better than Cocaine Bear or any other drug induced wildlife movies that I've seen to date! Between the effects and one liners, you won't be disappointed. The blood, the ooze, the squelching, the raccoon cam, it's all so absolutely good! My life has been changed now that this movie has come into my life and I hope this is just the first of many many more incarnations of Crackcoon! I need and want more. Sweet baby Jesus! I'm tearing up and am speechless over what I've just witnessed. I genuinely LOVED this!

This film is exactly what I was expecting it to be. Cheeky, Crazy concept, good gore, hilarious moments with a lot of laughs...and overall a lot of fun! I see a lot of comments from people who may not like the film, and that's okay. This movie won't be for everyone and it may not be up your alley, but it definitely will for those who enjoy a good laugh, and don't take things too seriously. In my opinion the movie has some questionable acting at times. As does many movies. But then you have those like Frankie...who made me spit my water out while laughing. His one liners are priceless! He keeps it entertaining and making you want more! Crackcoon is a spoofy, goofy, crazy movie indeed. But what is important is...you can tell they had fun making this movie. Don't take it so serious, it's a low budget indie horror film. It definitely checked off all the boxes for me. If you love a good cheesy horror comedy, practical effects and props then you will love this! I recommend checking it out for yourselves and see what you think.

Brad Twigg's Crackcoon is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. It's a low budget indie horror film, meaning it was crowd funded and then created with the funds raised on Indiegogo.
A raccoon eats some street crack that gets tossed out by two drug dealers about to be pulled over by the police. When the dealers return to where they tossed the drugs, they find them missing and meet up with the cracked out raccoon. The raccoon attacks everyone who comes into it's path. The attacks are gory and funny.
If you enjoy your horror mixed with humor, you'll enjoy Crackcoon. Again, this is an independent film shot on a small budget. It isn't going to look like or have the effects of a multimillion dollar film. If you keep your expectations in place, you'll find Crackcoon to be a quality film.
Also, many popular actors and actresses of the current indie horror scene are in this including; Beth Metcalf (Inner Beauty), Morrigan Milam (Lust, Magic, and the Witches Sabbath), Angel Bradford (Night of the Axe), Hunter Redfern (Inner Beauty) and the fabulous Jessa Flux (Murdercise).
Checkout Crackcoon and be sure to support indie horror.

I enjoyed this low budget indie horror film. The gore and effects were actually done pretty well considering it was an indie film. There were some characters who were memorable and I enjoyed watching, while other actors did not keep my attention. Frankie and Finn were my favorite, I was happy to watch their journey through the film.
This is a very campy, cheesy and wild film. If you are looking for a Hollywood budget horror production please walk away, this is not for you. If you enjoy a low budget film, practical effects lots of blood and gore and a few memorable moments...then this one is for you! It is definitely more of a comedy film that is for sure, while it is categorized as a horror comedy, due to the focus being a raccoon who is all cracked out and attacking everyone in its sight, the dialogue and banter back and forth between the actors is very funny. There are some quick comebacks and puns throughout the film that made me laugh.
The one who stood out most to me was Frankie, his level of comedy and timing was unmatched, he had a comeback for everything! He was over the top dramatic and flamboyant and raised the bar. The fact he was running around and away from this raccoon through most of the film is what had me on tears... The relationship and interaction Frankie has with Denny was memorable. They did not seem like drug dealers, which made it even more funny to watch and see the dynamic of their relationship and shenanigans unfold.
