Actress Yami Gautam is on cloud nine. After the success of Sanam Re, the actress is now looking to Sanjay Gupta-Rakesh Roshan's Kaabil, that will see her paired opposite Hrithik Roshan. At the launch of the new range of 'Skechers' shoes, the actress was asked about the film and she made it clear that she is indeed very excited to work with Hrithik Roshan. Said Yami, "I am really looking forward to the film. Bahut mehnat karni padegi aur bahut mehnat kar rahi hoon". Yami debuted with the very entertaining Vicky Donor in 2012 but after that, the actress didn't have a great run till Sanam Re happened. Total Siyapaa flopped and so did Action Jackson. She had a fine role in Badlapur but length wise, it was very small. And there are reports that she gets killed in the first half of Kaabil. When asked about these reports,...

Karachi, March 13: Ali Zafar has said that his latest film 'Total Siyapaa' is a comedy with a cause.
The 33-year-old actor said that he has done some global projects where his character is based abroad, but he personally thinks it's a coincident that his character is from Pakistan in E. Niwas' film, the Express Tribune reported.
He said that the reason behind doing 'Total Siyapaa' was simply because the film deals with much more than a romance between a Pakistani boy and an Indian girl and he felt that the story looked towards addressing the generalized perception that Indians have of Pakistanis, and vice versa.

Before it's sidetracked by a bizarre amnesiac-meets-hooker subplot, Total Siyapaa (Total Chaos) is a staid Hindi variation on Meet the Parents.
A London-set remake of Spanish romantic comedy Only Human, the movie is at least distinguished by its choice of subjects: Weirdly timid guitarist Aman (Ali Zafar) tries to impress the family of his milquetoast fiancée, Asha (Yami Gautam).
But Asha is Indian, and Aman is Pakistani, and her family is intolerant in an ostensibly comical fashion. Asha's mom (Kiron Kher) hates Pakistanis, her granddad (Vishwa Badola) shot "Pakis" while in the Indian Army, and her brother, Manav (Anuj Pandit), can't stand their noisy Pakistani neighbors.

Togas-to-go and abs to die for atop the UK box office, while Grand Budapest Hotel books in a surprise third
• More from UK box office
The winner
Seven years after the original 300 film, and with Gerard Butler's slain character missing this time around, it was by no means certain that audiences had an appetite for second helpings. But backers Warners and Legendary Pictures will be plenty happy with the opening numbers for 300: Rise of an Empire in the Us and internationally. In the UK, the film, from director Noam Murro (Smart People) and starring Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom), achieved a robust £2.76m debut. While that's well down on 300's opening salvo – £4.75m including previews of £784,000 – it's not bad for a film that seemed short of marketable elements other than the 300 brand name.
Rise of an Empire knocked The Lego Movie off the top spot after a three-week run.

What's more, from a realistic slice of life set up in Vicky Donor and Total Siyapaa, she would be stepping into a larger-than-life masalaworld created by Prabhudheva for Action JACKSONMeanwhile, this will also be Yami's first film where she would have another female co-star alongside her, Sonakshi Sinha. Shahid Afridi could well be having the final laugh. For the last few months, there has been an ongoing joke being cracked around the cricketer, courtesy Ali Zafar who takes a dig on him in Total Siyapaa. However, with the cricketer singlehandedly winning two back to back crucial matches for his country, it is Afridi who is laughing the loudest. He now moves to a new level in his vocation as gyan guru, On March 9, 10 and 11, Anupam will helm a life-coaching workshop in Landour near Mussorie. The 3-day workshop will find Anupam sharing life-related gyan with hand-picked students. Says Anupam, "There will be just ten students in the life-coaching workshop. I won't be gifting gyan to them. I don't see myself as a guru. I just want to share my life's experiences, whether it's acting, writing or teaching." The Landour landscape handpicked for this exclusive interactive session is not coincidental. It will eventually be the venue for Anupam's therapeutic school where spiritual emotional and physical healing would be provided for the very exclusive casualties of life. 11 months after his last hit Chashme Baddoor, Ali Zafar is back on the big screen with Total Siyapaa. While the David Dhawan directed comedy was as 'filmy' as it gets, Total Siyapaa is on the lines of other concept based films like Tere Bin Laden and London Paris New York that Ali has been a part of.
"Mostly, what I look for in my films is the content of the script. Also, it works when such films are made on a tight budget. Like for example Total Siyapaa was shot in 28 days flat. We could afford to do that as the script was water tight and we didn't have to invent things on the sets. The Grand Budapest Hotel | 300: Rise Of An Empire | Wake In Fright | Paranoia | The Stag | Escape From Planet Earth
The Grand Budapest Hotel (15)
(Wes Anderson, 2014, UK/Ger) Ralph Fiennes, Tony Revolori, F Murray Abraham, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan. 100 mins
You wonder how long Anderson can keep accumulating star actors and creating ever more elaborate microcosms but, judging by this, he's a long way from running out of steam. It's a witty caper-within-a-reminiscence-within-a-flashback set in interwar Europe, through which Fiennes's debonair concierge must flee, protege lobby boy in tow, after an heiress's murder. It's breathlessly paced and breathtakingly designed, but with a solid core – like a fancy cake with an iron file concealed inside.
300: Rise Of An Empire (15)
(Noam Murro, 2014, Us) Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro. 102 mins
With the bar for violent historical silliness raised by Game Of Thrones, this sequel pitches recklessly into another orgy of fetishised classical warfare with comic-book effects.

The Yami Gautam-Ali Zafar Indo-Pak story Total Siyapaa scheduled for release this Friday can breathe a sigh of relief. The Indian censor board has passed the film with a UA certificate and asked for only one line of dialogue referring to Pakistan to be changed and a love-making sequence to be removed. The dialogue that the Censor Board Of Film Certification (Cbfc) wanted changed went, 'Hum Pakistan Ko Lete Rehte hain'. Says director E Niwas, "They wanted us to beep out the word 'lete' . Instead I chose to change the entire line. The character now says, 'Hum Pakistan se ladte rehte hain.' Other cuts included visuals and sounds of love-making on the soundtrack. Says Niwas, "They asked us to remove a suggested sex scene in a work-place and some sounds of pleasure during love-making. 'Why do you want to spoil the fun mood with suggestive stuff?'...

Watch it for: Kirron Kher and Ali Zafar’s performances
Don’t watch it for: Romantically moving, thought provoking moments
Total Siyapaa, a “meet the parents” type film with a political undertone, tells the tale of when Pakistani rock star Aman (Ali Zafar) meets British-Indian girlfriend Asha’s (Yami Gautam) family.
From the start of the film, it is made clear that their respective countries of origin will cause a problem for this couple – a problem spurred by the question of family acceptance.
So, let’s briefly begin with the issue.
To say that Pakistan and India, since the time of the tragic Partition of India, 1947, have seriously been at odds with one another is an understatement.
Beyond geographical boundaries, ongoing wars, the Partition has caused emotional and psychological scars for both “Pakistanis” and “Indians” – aspects that clearly still have consequences for a generation that did not “witness” the Partition first hand,...

Film: "Total Siyapaa"; Cast: Ali Zafar, Yami Gautam, Kirron Kher and Anupam Kher; Director: Eeshwar Niwas; Rating: ***
Picture this. The daughter of a family has a secret boyfriend whom she's about to introduce to the family. No big deal, right? But what if she is an Indian and he's a Pakistani?
Picking on this pert premise screenwriter Neeraj Pandey does a special 69 on cross-border politics. Borderline tensions are defused to the point until we see just the ludicrous futility of cultural bickering. It's a delicious idea to build a plot around.
Pandey derives inspiration from a Spanish film "Seres Queridos", in which the conflict between the Palestinian boy and his girlfriend's Jewish family was served in a feisty.

In theaters on Friday is Total Siyapaa starring Ali Zafar, Yami Gautam, Kirron and Anupam Kher. The comedy was written by Neeraj Pandey and directed by E.Niwas. Total Siyapaa is a hilarious tale of cross-border love told through the trials and tribulations of a young Pakistani boy who falls in love with an Indian girl, and travels to London to be with her. Along the way, he has to contend with that most formidable of adversary – the future mother-in-law. Aman’s life descends into ‘Total Siyapaa’ when he attempts, albeit unsuccessfully at first, to impress his future in-laws with hilarious and at times completely cringe-inducing consequences.

After London Paris New York, the forthcoming Total Siyapaa sees Ali Zafar (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Tere Bin Laden) take up the task of being singer, composer, lyricist and lead actor again. London Paris New York, while a little rough around the edges, was a well composed album with some endearing tracks. Naturally, there are reasonable expectations from the music of Total Siyapaa. The album is made up of 5 tracks, all featuring Ali Zafar, save for the duet which also features the vocal styling of Fariha Parvez. Lyrics have been penned by Zafar, Aqeel Rubi and Kumaar.
The album kicks off with the title track, Total Siyapaa, a quirky number with humorous lyrics intermingled with snippets of dialogue between the films’ characters. Mumbai, Dec 27: Actor Ali Zafar has reacted to reports that Shahid Afridi has not taken a dialogue from the forthcoming film "Total Siyapaa" well. He says the Pakistani cricketer has not demanded any explanation.
The film's teaser shows Ali's character, a Pakistani boy trying to woo a Hindu girl with a dialogue that implies that Pakistanis are fed up with Afridi.
As an aftermath, it was reported that the allrounder had demanded an explanation for this.
But Ali took to Twitter Friday to clear the air about how the dialogue is harmless.
"Afridi did not demand any explanation regarding the dialogue. He is a great.

This happens quite rarely but it has been the case for Abhay Deol's One By Two. The film, which was originally planned for 7th February release, has now been preponed by a week. It would now release on 31st January which means not just it would arrive alongside Ali Zafar's Total Siyapaa, it would also be releasing just a week after Salman Khan's Jai Ho.The new release plan makes sense because otherwise it would have come alongside Hasee Toh Phasee. After five back to back light hearted films, Ali Zafar is turning serious. In his Kill Dil, the shooting of which is in progress at Delhi, there won't be a trademark casual approach towards humour that Ali has demonstrated ever since he made his debut with Tere Bin Laden. Instead, he would be seen in an altogether different avatar in the Shaad Ali directed affair.Whether it is Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Chashme Baddoor or soon to be released Total Siyapaa, Ali has...

The film is directed by E Niwas (My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves) and the script is penned by Neeraj Pandey, who is famed for his award-winning dramas A Wednesday and Special Chabbis.

A new “chaotic” romantic comedy starring Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam is set to hit theaters in January. Originally titled Aman ki Asha, the film is now titled Total Siyappa. Produced by esteemed actor Neeraj Pandey, the film is directed by E Niwas.
Apparently though the original title of the film was made of the of the character’s names, played by Ali Zafar and Yami Guatam, it just wasn’t getting the feeling or essence across of what the film is all about. Producer Neeraj Pandey said, “Yes we had earlier called the film Aman ki Asha as the boy’s name is Aman and girl’s name is Asha. But the film is more than that. So we have now changed it to a punjabi title, Total Siyappa.” Total Siyappa means total chaos and the new title suits the plot of the movie very accurately and also gives the idea of the storyline.

Actor Ali Zafar took out time from filming Aman Ki Aasha in London to speak to Sunny Malik for BollySpice about his next release, Chashme Baddoor. Chashme Baddoor also stars Siddharth, Taapsee Pannu and Divyendu Sharma, Rishi Kapoor and Anupam Kher and is directed by David Dhawan.
What does the title Chashme Baddoor mean?
Chahsme Badoor relates to a woman’s beauty. It means that may the evil away be kept away. As you know the film is a remake of the 1981 film, of the same name. David Dhawan has directed the film.
Salman Khan and Govinda said that David often walks into the frame without saying cut. Did he do that during Chashme Baddoor?
Yes, he did (laughs). He feels a lot and gets very emotional. He sometimes would just walk into the frame because he is an old-school director and does not watch the monitor during a take.
