    • Trivia
Alexei Sayle wrote about leaving OTT in his 2016 autobiography "Thatcher Stole My Trousers".

Alexei stated that: "I was so famous that it was actually front-page news in the tabloid press when in March I left OTT after nine shows. In fact it had always been planned that I would leave then because the Comic Strip, minus Arnold Brown, had been booked to appear at the Adelaide Festival in Australia for a fortnight, then to go on and play at a comedy club in Melbourne for two weeks and finally a theatre in Sydney. Instead the newspapers implied that I was fleeing the country in shame because of my disastrous performance on OTT."
    • Goofs
The opening sketch has Bob Carolgees playing a comedian called "Willy Woofer" who sits at a table with two strangers who also happen to be comedians.

The sketch begins with Carolgees asking the two other men (Tarrant and Henry) if they mind him sitting in the empty chair at their table - yet the pint that Carolgees drinks is already sat on the table before he arrives.
