Knocking at the Door

Where Team Penske was the focal point of the first episode of 100 Days to Indy, Andretti Autosport and the Arrow McLaren squads are centre stage for the second episode, featuring the Texas Motor Speedway race that was one of the best events the series has run in years. The TMS product has been subpar for many seasons, but not this year.

We meet Patricio O'Ward, the young Mexican who is the main man at Arrow McLaren and Andretti Autosport's version, Colton Herta: two young guys who will be battling front and centre for years in the IndyCar Series - and how lucky are we for that?

O'Ward is great for the sport, and his personality shines through. Herta is a quieter sort of guy, but his unique personality also shines. Meeting their family, friends and significant others was great. Seeing how they consume races is very interesting. Oh, and Mario Andretti has a cameo. What's not to like about that?

Two good races to start the year, with heaps of storylines. The 100 Days to Indy people must be thrilled.
