I love stand up comedy, i have watched many TV specials, and Louis C. K is my favorite stand up comedian. I really like Bill Burr, Ricky Jervais, George Carlin, Dylan Moran etc, however this guy makes me laugh like no other.
This is not his best work. Actually, this is less good than every other tv special of his. I don't use the word "worst" because i want to emphasize that this is a very good show. But still, it's less good even than "Louis C. K. 2017". (Up until now, this was my less favorite show of him)
Louis seems tired, he doesn't have his former energy. At times, he seems more weird than funny. Something feels off. He was always a dark cynical in disguise, but in order for a show to be good, you've got to balance your cynicism with charm. Otherwise, your stand up comedy will look bitter and sad instead of edgy/provocative.
Louis CK made a glorious comeback with SINCERELY (2020). One of his best shows in years. SORRY(2021) was not so amazing but still better than the majority of stand up comedies nowadays. Louis must take his time and return to form.
That doesn't mean this show ain't good. Still I had tears of laughter watching it.

Louis CK is probably my favorite stand-up comedian. I was lucky enough to see him live 10 years ago, which was fantastic. Since he was "cancelled" for a while, I was excited to see him back in action.
While this wasn't his best work, it was still better than the vast majority of specials from other comedians. This special definitely delivered CK's signature style of humor - smart yet unpretentious, dark, often gross and possibly insulting (in the best way!) but the pace was a bit slower. The stories and jokes were slightly longer and the punchlines were spread a little further apart than in his older specials. It was funny, for sure, but I personally felt he could have worked more material into the allotted time.

It had been a WHILE since I'd laughed this hard. SRYSLY for 60 mins, I couldn't breathe right cause I was laughing THE ENTIRE time.
He started this on a LMAO note and kept hitting that note with landing every single punchline perfectly.
He did an excellent job of sticking to a handful of relatively related topics and at the same time kept it refreshing.
Those standard "Louis" thinking-out-loud kinda Jokes that he does in every special, were especially special and well thought of and pulled off perfectly.
This is one of the funniest, as in Laughing Out really fqn Hard funny, 60 minutes I've ever experienced. Welcome Back.

There have been many good stand up specials this year, including Louis CK's Madison Square Garden show, which was as solid of an hour as I thought you could get... but the Dolby show is absolute perfection. There are some small bits that he had also done in the Madison Square Garden show but even already knowing them, they are just so much better in a smaller venue like this. I forgot just how exhaustingly funny comedy can be and there aren't many that can assault you with a barrage to the point of struggling to catch your breat. That is exactly what this special is. And best of all, it is all from a place that only he can come from - whether it's reading from the Bible or his feelings on the wrong parent dyiing. This is a must-see special.

Louis CK's stand-up show is dedicated to Lenny Bruce for a good reason. Not only is Louis the most brilliant comedian of our time, but he is also the only one who doesn't try to adapt his personal views to cater to the majority, not even his fans. He dives in without a net, and this refreshing honesty is to be welcomed.
Louis gives free rein to his imagination and uses humor to expose our contradictions and make us reflect on the absurdity of many majority positions on current affairs. One great example is his take on the issue of abortion. Rather than simply criticizing anti-abortion positions, he approaches the subject from a different angle, inviting us to reflect without feeling constrained by our preconceived notions. This encourages people to think freely and question their own beliefs, providing a refreshing change of perspective.
In summary, Louis CK's show is like a breath of fresh air in the world of stand-up comedy. It challenges us to think critically and confront our assumptions, all while making us laugh.

Not his best start to a show but he has talked about not knowing how to ever start his specials, he did end it great though. However this isn't one of his best works, there's nothing truly astounding about it, his recent previous shows made me laugh harder. Pretty meh in comparison but not bad, I probably enjoyed it more just because I'm a fan. It's not new material either, both to comedy and Louis himself, nothing groundbreaking.
Also this reminded me that my great grandma is actually 111yrs old now. Still kicking about, still goes and fetches water from the river on her own etcetera, and there's probably more people like that just somewhere in a remote village in Africa, far from guinness world record's purview. It's also pretty sad because I remember her talking about how everyone she knows passed away, even her children are dying before her.
Anyway, this is a bit mediocre from Louis C. K., still got a few laughs but mid. It's crazy how much content he's churning out recently and this feels like it's the result of 'starting' to run out of steam.

Louis C. K. is funny, some of his jokes are pretty good, but the canned laughter is worse than a standup sitcom, who the hell laughs for 1 second and suddenly stops, especially in the hundreds. He goes into some deep topics and it gets worse as it goes along. I just wish the laughs were legit, I mean, who does NOT clap at a joke? No clapping, no authentic laugh sounds, no true audience feedback, you can tell during the entire time that someone is pressing a button to produce a laugh track. Maybe one day they'll figure out how to write a joke that's funny and get one audience member to truly laugh.
