Divemaster Neil Brock acquaints Ross with the dangers of becoming a deep-sea treasure hunter. Ross is then given the extraordinary opportunity to be among the few divers allowed to dive the Mary Rose, Britain's most famous shipwreck.
Plymouth is the port most associated with Britain's imperial ambitions. Using metal detectors, Ross and his team discover what Mallory believes is a new shipwreck, as well as treasure. Their quest also leads them to the Gulf of Suez.
The first wreck Ross explores in the Red Sea is located 55 meters below the surface, depths Ross has not yet experienced. Ross also hopes to find treasure aboard the SS Carnatic that was reportedly carrying 1 million pounds in gold coins.
Ross hunts for wrecks that add to the story of D-Day and discovers how the road to victory required ingenuity. He learns about Operation Smash and dives a Valentine tank that could float. He also explores the LST 523, a massive cargo ship.
