The recent controversy in Tinseltown features Blake Lively and her It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni. Many prominent names in the industry have spoken up about the ordeal, and now, actress Abigail Breslin has apparently given her two cents on the whole matter. Best known for films like Little Miss Sunshine (2006) and My Sister’s Keeper (2009), she faced something similar to what Blake Lively is going through at the moment.

While working on the set of Classified with Aaron Eckhart, the actress alleged that the film’s leading man was aggressive to work with and filed a confidential complaint against him. Her complaint later backfired when the production companies behind the film ended up suing her in return. Now, Abigail Breslin pens a heartfelt letter, seemingly supporting Blake Lively in her case against Justin Baldoni.

Abigail Breslin penned an emotional letter on social media regarding the double standard and harassment faced by women who deign to speak up about experiences of sexism or injustice in Hollywood, recalling a lawsuit filed by her employer after she addressed a male co-star’s “unprofessional behavior” on set. The Little Miss Sunshine actress heavily implied she was spurred to put forth a statement following the fallout from Blake Lively’s legal complaint against Justin Baldoni, the multi-pronged scandal that also recently moved Kate Beckinsale to detail her own industry experiences of assault and misogyny.
In a sizable essay shared to her Instagram and Tumblr, Breslin detailed being dismissed as a “hysterical and wild” woman who “apparently just had it in for men” after she had “taken all of the recommended, reasonable and appropriate measures of reporting confidentially to my union” what she had experienced on set. She also said...

In a message posted Sunday on her Instagram and Tumblr accounts, actress Abigail Breslin alluded to the ongoing Blake Lively scandal as well as the time she was sued by the producers of a film after complaining about a co-star’s on-set behavior, declaring that “toxic masculinity” in Hollywood “is the norm.”
“When did the word woman become synonymous with scapegoat? As I see the news each day, I realize this is the world we seem to live in. In light of recent events regarding the attempt to destroy the career and livelihood of a fellow actress and woman, I have felt compelled to write this, as I have unfortunately been subject to the same toxic masculinity throughout my life,” Breslin wrote.
“In my recent career, I’ve brought forward concerns about a male colleague and was deemed ‘hysterical. I was told my fears were figments of my imagination. Now,...

Much like Kate Beckinsale, Blake Lively's allegations of sexual harassment against It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni have inspired fellow actor Abigail Breslin to come forward with her experiences. Abigail Breslin posted a lengthy statement on both her Tumblr and Instagram accounts in which she remembered being called “hysterical” after speaking out about a co-star’s unprofessional behavior. The “Little Miss Sunshine” Oscar nominee implied that she was inspired to post after Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni. Kate Beckinsale was similarly inspired to share her own set harassment stories after Lively’s complaint.
“When did the word woman become synonymous with scapegoat?” Breslin asked at the start of her post. “As I see the news each day, I realize this is the world we seem to live in. In light of recent events regarding the attempt to destroy the career and livelihood of a fellow actress and woman, I have felt compelled to write this, as I have unfortunately been subject to the same toxic masculinity throughout my life.

You might have some questions about what happened between Abigail Breslin and Aaron Eckhart after the actress referenced their situation and compared it to Blake Lively‘s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
The 28-year-old actress took to social media over the weekend to share an essay that she wrote about how women are treated as “scapegoats” while men’s bad behavior is excused.
In the essay, she referenced “recent events,” seemingly addressing Blake‘s allegations of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us.
“In my recent career, I’ve brought forward concerns about a male colleague and was deemed ‘hysterical.’ I was told my fears were figments of my imagination. Now, as I’m seeing this pattern pop up more, I realize this is the norm,” she wrote.
This appears to be a reference to Aaron, who Abigail worked with on the 2024 movie Classified.

Abigail Breslin opened up about Blake Lively‘s legal battle and allegations about working with Justin Baldoni in a lengthy and emotional essay.
The 28-year-old actress took to social media this week to reflect on how women are treated as “scapegoats” as the behavior of men is excused.
She wrote about the situation after Blake accused her It Ends With Us costar and director of sexual harassment and engaging in a smear campaign.
Her response comes over a year after we learned that Abigail had issues with her costar Aaron Eckhart while they filmed their movie Classified. The actress’ allegations were deemed “wild, hysterical and imaginary” in a lawsuit that was filed against her by the movie’s production companies.

Operation Blood Hunt is the film we wanted after Dog Soldiers showed us all that werewolves and soldiers could be a great combination. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much in the way of followup at the time, the promised sequel never happened and anyone who saw Werewolves of the Third Reich would probably rather forget it. So we’ve had to wait until now for Brandon Slagle to take the standard war movie plot of an odd assortment of fighters sent on a mission behind enemy lines and some werewolves to serve as the villains. And when it works, Operation Blood Hunt is a lot of fun, unfortunately, it doesn’t always work.

Classified is a title with a double meaning. It not only refers to the work C.I.A. assassin Evan does, but it’s how he gets the details of his assignments. His handler, Kevin disguises them as ads in the classified section of the local paper.
As the film begins we see just how the process works as he gets his assignment, gets his hotel room, gets, his weapons, hallucinates about his dead wife Monica, and takes out his target. He’s about to do it all again, this time in Rome, when he gets an unexpected visitor.
Kacey who claims to work for M16 as an analyst and has some important information for him. She claims Kevin is dead, and the division of the C.I.A. he worked for...

Two films shared top spots on VOD charts. The newly released “Transformers One” (Paramount) leads at Fandango (which ranks by revenue), while “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” (Warner Bros.) in its third week returned to #1 at iTunes (calculating by transactions). Both films rent for $19.99.
Netflix continues its string of originals placing first on its top 10 movie list (briefly interrupted by “Bad Boys Ride or Die”), with “Don’t Move” (a horror/thriller with Sam Raimi as one of the producers) taking over the #1 spot.
“The Wild Robot” (Universal), still the #3 film in theaters this weekend, placed second on both charts (it was #1 once during the week at iTunes). “Transformers One” is fourth at iTunes, though it was #1 initially earlier in the week. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is #3 at Fandango.
Now in its second week, “Alien: Romulus” (Disney), renting at an unusually high $24.99 (as are “The Wild Robot” and “Deadpool & Wolverine”), dropped #5 at Fandango and #7 at iTunes.

Directed by Roel Reine, Classified is the story of an undercover agent who, through some unprecedented events, realized that he was not working for his nation but as a private player. The revelation made Evan Shaw realize that the truth was not what he had perceived it to be. Evan felt betrayed, as he had been made to believe that whatever he was doing was for the welfare of his nation. So, let’s find out what happened in the film and if Evan Shaw was able to find out the truth about the matter.
Spoiler Alert
How did Evan meet Casey?
Evan believed that he worked for the CIA, and his handler, Kevin Angler, ordered him to kill people who were a threat to the nation. Evan had no clue that he was, in fact, working for a private party that had nothing to do with the CIA or the nation.

Classified stars Aaron Eckhart as the lone wolf spy Evan Shaw, whom we learn virtually nothing about throughout the hour and 45-minute runtime of this disappointing new thriller. He's joined by former child star Abigail Breslin, who plays his long-lost daughter turned MI6 analyst, Kacey. Written by Roel Rein and directed by Bob DeRosa, Classified will not be remembered as one of the best spy movies of the 2020s and will likely fly under the radar for most audiences. Though competently shot, the storytelling and performances leave much to be desired.

Taking on the role of troubled assassin Evan Shaw, Aaron Eckhart brings his signature serious depth to the character. Director Roel Reiné’s new action thriller Classified throws viewers into a murky world of espionage and betrayal.
As a veteran CIA operative, Evan receives assignments through codes hidden in newspaper classifieds, carrying out hits in solitude. But troubling revelations soon challenge everything he believed about the opaque organization he’s dedicated his life to.
When a daring young intelligence analyst named Kacey, played compellingly by Abigail Breslin, unveils the shocking truth that Evan’s long-standing division has ceased to exist for years, he’s forced to question who has truly been orchestrating his missions all this time.
Teaming up with the determined Kacey, Evan embarks on a quest for answers that will take them on a pulse-pounding journey across scenic locations in Malta. Along the way, unexpected twists unfold as...

Plot: A career CIA hitman who’s been solely using the classified section of various newspapers to receive his orders suddenly discovers that his division’s actually been shut down for years.
Review: As of late, Aaron Eckhart has been making a career starring in these low-budget action flicks. Decidedly more focused on the conversations versus actual bombastic action, this is what I’d refer to as a “wait and see” action movie. The action beats are over just as fast as they begin, and it’s much more about the setup. This is clearly due to budget constraints but also a bit of creative laziness, as it gets quite shocking with how little is actually happening. I’ll give you three guesses as to which type of action film Classified is…

Erased predicted Aaron Eckhart's action star transformation, showcasing his skills as a retired CIA agent with a knack for hand-to-hand combat. Chief of Station feels like an Erased sequel, with Eckhart playing another CIA agent investigating his wife's death and unraveling a conspiracy. Eckhart continues his action run with upcoming films like Classified and potentially The Bricklayer 2, cementing his status in the genre.
Aaron Eckhart is on a run of action movies like The Bricklayer, but this unlikely career pivot was predicted by a forgotten thriller from 2012. Eckhart is an actor who first came to people's attention for dark dramas like In the Company of Men, before moving into more mainstream fare during the 2000s, such as goofy blockbuster The Core. He's a performer who has tackled just about every genre by this point, and one who tends to steal scenes no matter who he is working alongside.

The new “God’s Not Dead” film follows the series’ protagonist, Rev. David Hill (played once again by David A.R. The cast also includes Dean Cain, who appeared in the first film in the franchise and is best known for “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” as well as Isaiah Washington (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Ray Wise (“X-Men: First Class”).

Set in a world where every door creaks and there isn’t a single well-lit location, “Tarot” is little more than a clearinghouse of horror clichés.
Co-written, directed and executive produced by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg (the podcast series “Classified”), the supernatural thriller repeatedly leverages the genre’s laziest mood-setting and suspense-building devices to keep its audience on the edge of their seats. But even featuring a moderately charming ensemble led by “Spider-Man: Homecoming” breakout Jacob Batalon, the film’s PG-13 rating — and lack of virtually any characters other than its doomed protagonists — severely limits the efficacy of those techniques and tropes even when they’re deployed skillfully.

Exclusive: Cameras have started rolling in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the survival-thriller Savage Hunt from Dutch filmmaker Roel Reiné (Halo).
The pic comes from a screenplay penned by Chad Law and Christopher Jolley. The story follows a vengeful tracker who is brought in to hunt down a large grizzly bear, which has begun attacking humans when a new local resort begins construction, disrupting the natural habitat of the wildlife.
The production has told us they are currently using a real grizzly bear on location as part of the shoot.
“We wanted to strive for as much realism as possible, showing how powerful nature can be, and the effects of man encroaching on an animal’s natural environment,” producers said.
Film Bridge International has sales rights to the pic and will introduce it to buyers at the forthcoming Cannes market. Producing the pic are United Film’s Gabriel Georgiev, Ellen Wander, and...

The success of The Bricklayer marks Aaron Eckhart's successful transformation into an action star. Eckhart's ability as an actor adds some class to lower-budget action fare like The Bricklayer and Muzzle. Upcoming films like Chief of Station and Classified will continue Eckhart's action streak, solidifying his position in the genre.
The Bricklayer has completed Aaron Eckhart's gradual transformation into an action star - and it's a beautiful thing to behold. Eckhart first came to attention for his work in director Neil Labute's dark comedies like In the Company of Men, but it was his incredible supporting turn in Erin Brockovich that marked his breakout role. He's rarely been offscreen since, with easily his best-known role being the tragic Harvey Dent/Two-Face in 2008's The Dark Knight.
This is the kind of movie that should have led to bigger leading roles for Eckhart, but none of his follow-ups quite clicked.

Nelson Mandela, the iconic anti-apartheid leader who went from 27 years as a political prisoner to eventually becoming the first president of a free South Africa, will be the subject of the 30-hour scripted TV series “Mandela.” The project is currently the works at writer/producer Josh Wakely’s Grace: A Storytelling Company shingle.
Wakely has secured the TV series life rights to the late Mandela via House of Mandela Entertainment, the media arm of the Mandela estate. Wakely will executive produce and write “Mandela,” along with South African writer/director Kagiso Lediga (“Queen Sono”) and producer Kweku Mandela (who is also Nelson Mandela’s grandson).
The project, which Wakely compares to a multi-season saga in the vein of Netflix’s “The Crown,” will center on Mandela’s life as he was sent to prison while aiming to end apartheid, the system of institutional racism and segregation that was administered in South Africa for generations.

The Bulgarian producer of an espionage thriller sued Abigail Breslin, one of the film’s stars, on Friday, alleging that her “hysterical” and “imaginary” allegations against co-star Aaron Eckhart have imperiled the film’s release.
Dream Team Studios produced the film, entitled “Classified,” in Malta earlier this year. Eckhart plays a hitman who learns that his CIA handler has been dead for years. Breslin plays his daughter.
According to the lawsuit, the entire production “almost ground to a halt” when Breslin accused Eckhart of “aggressive, demeaning and unprofessional” behavior on set. Breslin alleged that his behavior “placed her at various times in peril,” and she refused to be alone with him in several scenes, according to the suit.
Breslin filed a complaint to SAG-AFTRA “setting forth her fears and blasting Eckhart’s behavior,” according to the suit. Eckhart’s representative did not respond to a request for comment.
