A, stronger episode here showing the grand areas of Brighton like The Pavilion but also the seedy side too making the story feel more realistic.
There are a lot of smoke and mirrors here in thd storyline and not just by the suspects.
There are good moments here with some great humour particularly between Bella and Norman plus there is a spotlight on Brandon's homelife too which gives the characters greater depth.
There is a suspenseful ending which readers of thd books might be happy to see the story changing here.
The continuation of the story lines through the series here makes a change from previous series of the show.
Filmed in the summer it seems, it's much brighter about Brighton than s4e1.
A good watch (oh no, that was the last story!)

The body of an unidentified man is discovered on a foot path, and soon after a social worker is killed, Smallbone is on the list of suspects.
Excellent, the type of drama I want on a Sunday night, wonderfully dark and macabre, this was tense, creepy and wonderfully suspenseful, it worked as a whodunnit, and moved into the realms of TV thriller too.
The ending was awesome, truly edge of the seat viewing, good to see one of the regulars placed in danger, and also great to see the supporting characters getting more limelight.
I love that Bella and Norman are growing as characters, the pair are a cracking double act, and getting more screen time, both were excellent, and I'm intrigued by his health story.
Great scenes between Glenn and young Sammy too, I love how his character has developed.
Credit to Parkinson and Elphinstone, the pair were awesome here.
9/10.

That certainly was a bizarre, macabre and thrilling episode of Grace. Not always for the right reasons. Enjoyably draft.
Let's give a warm welcome to the only bunch of detectives who have never seen The Silence of the Lambs. They also never watched Paul Daniels magic shows.
A park ranger finds a body in a well known hiking path. The dead man was drowned in milk.
Later a social worker receives a phone call about a vulnerable child at risk. He is found dead with stab wounds forming a certain pattern.
DSI Roy Grace comes to the opinion everything is an illusion. The murders are committed by a magician with a grudge.
There is a former magician now working as a croupier in a casino. He once had television fame but lost it as he did his best act on television in front of millions of viewers.
As they got to the actual culprit early on. There was bound to be a few more twists. After all handcuffing a magician who had an escapology act right after he 'bumped' into a police officer. Very sloppy.
I would say Grace's slapdash approach cost other people's lives.
