Best Bite Wins is headed to the Roku Channel. Josh Peck (Turner & Hooch) will host and executive produce the new food competition series. The streaming platform has ordered six episodes. In each episode, chefs compete to make the best party food. Their efforts will be judged by “hungry judges and clientele at real events.”

Food-related content has become very popular for Roku. The platform already offers series like Emeril Cooks, The Great American Baking Show, and Morimoto’s Sushi Master.

Following season one’s debut, Roku, the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S.*, will bring audiences a second season of its inspiring docuseries “Side Hustlers,” starring Emma Grede and Ashley Graham. During its opening weekend, “Side Hustlers” was the #1 on-demand title on The Roku Channel**. Actor and professional wrestler John Cena is coming to Roku with his first-ever celebrity talk series.

Fifth Season and Roku have struck an unscripted international distribution deal.

Fifth Season will shop the likes of Jessica Alba and Lizzy Mathis’ Honest Renovations, all-star survivalist competition Fight to Survive and Morimoto’s Sushi Master outside of the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Further titles are set to be added and the Korean media company has invested in and will handle exclusive worldwide rights to Roku projects.

Prentiss Fraser, Fifth Season’s President of TV Distribution, said Roku has built a slate of “aspirational lifestyle and entertainment titles fronted by some of Hollywood’s biggest names to create premium originals for a mass audience.”

Exclusive: There’s more sushi being served at Roku. The streamer has ordered a second season of Morimoto’s Sushi Master.

The series, which is the first-ever competition series focused on the art of sushi-making, will return for six more episodes. It launched in June.

The series comes from Ample Entertainment, which is behind Netflix’s Kangaroo Valley and HBO’s The Invisible Pilot.

It features icon Chef Masaharu Morimoto as head judge and executive producer as he puts chefs to the test as they compete in challenges that not only honor the skill, ingredients, delicacy, and talent needed to perfect the art of sushi-making, but also break the rules along the way.

Lyrica Okano also returns to host alongside Morimoto.

Morimoto’s Sushi Master is exec produced by Ari Mark, Phil Lott, and Kathryn Vaughn.
