This being the first game that 2K has done since they gain the rights to produce and make World Wrestling Entertainment Video Games many had to wonder how it would feel to play a WWE game not released by THQ well now is the time to know the truth.
WWE 2K14 is the sequel to WWE 13 which contain it own special mode the Attitude Era mode.
Now with the sequel we are giving a new mode 30 years of Wrestlemania where you go back in time to relive and play all the matches from that made Wrestlemania as big as it is today.
The game is full with close to 60 WWE Superstars that is counting the Downloadable Content where you can gain more.
A big issues is that it has more of the same wrestler what I mean by that is you got three or four of the same like Two John Cenas, Two Rocks, Two Big Shows, Three Hulk Hogans so on it gets annoying to have to look through the character select screen just to find one wrestler without seeing the copy cats.
The game play remains the same as WWE 12 and 13 so veterans of those games should feel right in with the game style of play.
The graphics are just as good as the last ones where it gives you the feel of seeing the WWE on television also the camera effects make it feel real. Also when you play the 30 years of Wrestlemania mode the screen looks like it would when you watched it back in the day.
The controls remain the same so it is not that hard to play and the audio is very good with the theme songs and music for each wrestler sounding great.
The game has very many match types so you can find hours of game play to be had.
Overall if you are a fan of this series go ahead and pick up this game.
I give WWE 2K14 an 8 out of 10

This WWE game step up and was much better then I thought it would be. WWE13 gave you a little taste of the action but this game brought it. All the new mode to play my favorite is streak mode. It give you the chance to relive history as the undertaker or his challenger. 30 year of WM is good and do very well it fell like you are looking at a TV form 1984 that how good a job the did on this game. It may have been 30 year but if the game keep being like this it will be another 30. Also the OMG moment have been in proved. just play the game and you will see how good the game truly is.This WWE game step up and was much better then I thought it would be. The state of professional wrestling (at least how that label applies to the WWE) right now is in a strange place. Besides Hulk Hogan's "TNA", which has a loyal following, the WWE basically has a monopoly on the entire business. They should be "bigger and better" than ever before. The truth of the matter, though, is that they simply are not, for the simple reason that they have almost zero effectiveness at developing iconic characters anymore. Once upon a time, pro wrestlers were household names even if you didn't watch wrestling. Now, you have to be a "wrestling fan" to know 3/4 of the current wrestlers this game comes with.
Last year's 2K game got it close, offering a tantalizing portion of old-school wrestlers and game modes, but 2K14 goes all-in on the nostalgia factor and creates perhaps the best wrestling game I have ever played on a video game console.
Basically, this franchise had to start offering up the classic wrestlers or the interest would have quickly faded. Now that I can use guys like Andre The Giant, Big John Studd, Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, and Razor Ramon (to name but a few), I feel like I will have hours and hours (days?!) of fun with this game in the future mixing it up with fellow old-school wrestling fan buddies. The possibilities seem endless!
Of course, many sports games are completely and utterly doomed by clunky controls, but 2K seems to have created a very usable system. It is easy enough to "pick up and play" right off the bat, but also loaded with trickier combinations that will take time to master. The oft-maligned "reversal" system has also made a bit more difficult to master, which was a big plus.
Simply put, now that "Madden season" is coming to an end, I can easily say I will log more hours on this game than any other for the foreseeable future. Whether playing the game modes to unlock more classic players or getting some friends over to virtually pummel each other in a TLC match, this game will entertain me for quite some time.

I got the game 3 weeks after its released and I thought it was awesome. The Graphics have improved and more fun to play CPUs due to it getting more challenging. I loved the 30 years of WrestleMania. It was just as awesome as the attitude era from last year. The Universe mode is great. We Can now create rivalries/feuds, we now have cut scenes at PPVs, and I love the WWE.com. Sadly, I don't think we have new cut scenes though. However, the good news is that we have them more often (something people were complaining about we didn't have last year). New OMG moments are here as well. That includes DDTs of outside of the ropes, Double finishers on two superstars at once, and my favorite spearing superstars through pods in elimination chambers. Oh another thing is superstars stay down longer depending how hurt they are. Finally, the roster is great. My favorite superstars I like using is the Shield. Its a awesome game and maybe the best I ever played

WWE2k14 was such a masterpiece. After the fall of THQ, 2kay bought the licenses to produce video games. I do remember hearing at the time that THQ had produced this game, despite 2k14 having it title placed on the game. Nevertheless, that does not diminish that this was one hell of a game.
It doesn't have everything. Backstage brawls are boring, and the game froze and glitched quite often, but overall this game was very impactful.
The gameplay was smooth, universe mode was almost perfect, tons of wrestlers to choose from. Building wrestlers was fun and of many.
I've spent days playing this game and establishing a virtual dynasty in the world wrestling federation.
Guarantee if you haven't played this game before you'll like it too and more than the current 2kay trash.

The Pros
* Simple but effective gameplay
* 30 Years of WM Showcase mode (way better than 40 Years of WM from 2K24)
* Defeat the Streak mode
* Great additional creation modes such as create a story and finisher
* In-depth creation suite
* Graphics are pretty decent
* Allot of fun match types
The Cons * Multi-man matches can be clunky * Few bugs and glitches
Final Verdict: WWE 2K14 IMO the best wrestling game I've played and looking back it's not hard to see why. With simplistic "arcadey" gameplay and many nostalgic game modes, this is why people look back fondly on WWE 2K14.
Final Rating: 8.5 / 10.
