No pun intended - I assume if you see the cover or the poster for this ... I can't imagine anyone having any delusion about what the movie is going to be about. There is not much of a story (yet there a few twists - most are quite easy to spot to say the least) ... but you are not here to mainly watch this for the story ... or you shouldn't - even if it did sound quite appealing.
This is about erotic scenes ... there is quite a lot of nudity ... you can't be too sensitive or against that ... you should not have a problem with that to say the least. I would not rate the acting here ... the script or anything at all ... it does what it says on the cover ... and that should be enough for most watching ... you decide ... but don't expect anything to .... well keep you up (again no pun intended) ... it is wham bam, thank you mam ...

Granted, from the movie's cover and the recent string of Vivamax Tagalog movies I have seen, then I wasn't harboring much of any grand expectations to this movie. But still, I had never heard about it, and thus opted to give director Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagñalan's 2023 movie a fair chance.
Jesus Christ, not even ten minutes into the ordeal and there was already two nude and very graphic softcore scenes. And that pretty much set the standard for what to expect from this movie. And using the term movie here is stretching it, because it felt like nothing more than an excuse for director Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagñalan to put lewd scenes on film.
Writers Michael Angelo Dagñalan and Melchor Escarcha actually didn't come up with a bad script. The story was watchable, I will say that. But the movie was just utterly ruined by the constant nudity and lewd scenes.
Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. But I am a bit complexed why some talents would appear in movies such as this. But I suppose a pay cheque is a pay cheque regardless. Despite the movie's lewd script, I will say that the acting scenes, in between the nudity and lewd scenes, were actually fair.
A movie such as "Home Service" hardly paints the Tagalog cinema in a good light. And this is definitely not a movie that I would recommend you to waste 114 minutes on watching.
My rating of "Home Service" lands on a very, very generous two out of ten stars.

Vivamax is a streaming service for Filipino-produced content and Home Service falls under the "late-night content for adults" banner. I have seen a few Vivamax productions now and know exactly what to expect: High production values, attractive actors, somewhat of a coherent storyline and lots of nudity.
There is a distinct voyeuristic feel to Home Service, since it's dealing with the theme of non-consensual intimate recordings. The story is certainly compelling, only it's let down a little by the rather weak acting performances. Gladly, we're not here to win any oscars, so it can be overlooked.
In any case, Home Service delivers what it's supposed to. 107 minutes of cheesy fun, titillation and attractive actors. You can pretty much figure it out already if this title will be for you or not.
