This is Lime Street's first entry to the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project.
The music heard in the film were instrumental versions of "When the Stars Align" and "Burn With You." Both of these song were heard in previous 48 Hour Films produced by either Lime Street Entertainment or Schmitt Films. "Burn with You" was previously used in the end credits for the Lime Street film "Hahn vs. Gilgallon." "When the Stars Align" was used in the Cultural Detritus and Schmitt Film "Insidious Clown Party." Scott Matthew is heard singing "50's Romance," which was previously heard in the Lime Street Film "The OCD."
The required character was Fiona Fischer the Podcaster. The required prop was a thermometer. The required line was "Wouldn't be fun to do that." The genres they drew were Romance and Road Movie, hence the title.
Eileen Chase was cast after two years of the studio trying to book her, but she was either always chosen by another team or created her own team. She is the head of Triat Films for the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project. Her schedule opened up the weekend of the shoot, and was available to act in the project, along with writing the screenplay.
This is the 4th Lime Street Entertainment film directed by Ashley Cordelia, and her first comedy she ever directed.
