    The Same Thing Happens Again

This episode is a turning point in the series, but in a bad way.

The same thing happens again, the things that ruined the original series are introduced and it means the beginning of the end.

Bringing Carol back into the story makes no sense, I thought this was a series where we follow Daryl's journey. It was too good to be true.

The episode is hilarious, the characters came straight out of some parody.

Let's start with the two women that Carol and Ash come across, the conversation between one of them and Carol is particularly hilarious. I won't put spoilers, you'll figure it out yourself.

Let's put aside that the character Genet is completely unrealistic, but ok, this is still a series about zombies, so well, somehow you can get past that.

Some things can be glossed over, but the series went completely into the realm of parody with the introduction of Genet's new "right hand". The character seems to have arrived straight from a Mel Brooks parody. Hilarious.

The end of this episode only confirmed suspicions that this series is heading towards disaster. It's something we're used to, this is just another "modern film production" after all.

Daryl Dixon is Not in the Daryl Dixon spinoff

When you find that Daryl that so many people love, tell me. So far he's ruined for me In the meantime, are we watching Lorant get lost again? Isabelle and Daryl are doing their job extremely poorly The way they write the rest of the characters is like a cliche. That was the way it was in the season 1. It got worse in the second season. The authors and showrunner are reworking old stories already told in The Walking Dead. And they take the worst of them as an example. This is not an innovation or a fresh look. No one does work on mistakes.

The journey of Carol and Ash, the way their bond grows stronger is what saves this episode from 1/10 of me.

    Where is Daryl Dixon

A mixed bag episode. The story with Carol & Ash meeting the environmentalists was the best part of the episode. Melissa Mc Bride & Manish Dayal have a easy flowing chemistry & everything feels natural and finally Carol has arrived in France.

I took points of this episode because I dislike The Nest religious story, mainly because its boring, predictable & has been done many times in others shows & movies. And the characters involved in the story are either annoying, boring or have no character depth.

Daryl's story at The Nest & his relationships with Laurent & Isabelle are so artificial & forced. Its like watch paint dry. I hate when writers change characters to push a bad plot and this is what is happening with Daryl in this series.

Why is everyone so boring with their ratings

Yall wanna complain about everything, its carols and daryls story and in this episode it mixes them beautifully with the themes of skepticism, faith, and hope. You all complain about the side characters not having enough depth but when the series shows them you complain "not enough daryl". This show isnt about daryl getting back to America its about what twd has been about which is relationships and power shaped by the apocalypse and how crazy manipulative people exist without being held back by typical things like morals, religion, and(or) law.

Not only that, appreciate the shots, this show (and especially this episode) has been beautiful with great cgi and if youve been to france maybe yall would appreciate it more. Idk i was excited to see people be excited like i was but its the same boring people who want to hate on the show because they have nothing better to do with their lives. Personal opion this episode is like a 8.8-8.9 but im giving it a 10 for all the degenerates who got butthurt when rick or glenn died but continued with the franchise just to hate whenever they could. Its so upsetting when fanbases like the bcs one appreciates flaws or slower episodes when their show is slow as its adds to the themes and is shot very well but when it happens in twd its met with opposite.

    france must be proud

That they gave their treasure monuments to support this hot garbage. Mont-Saint-Michel, The Louvre, Mona lisa, all their landscape. I hope the price was right for them.

Don't get me wrong. Darryl's a great character but this is just more cartoon scripts. Silliness against a beautiful backdrop.

Plot holes and logic leaps, dragging it on way beyond its used by date.

It's just so badly written that it makes it feel like an insult to the locations, sets and cinematography. All the effort for silly plot points that make you roll your eyes. It has no sense of itself and it makes a mockery of it all.

    • Trivia
When walking down a street in Paris, Carol stops to look at a sign written in French. It translates to "For Us! Unite! Genet Feeds the People. Genet Protects the Living". Which is referring to Marion Genet, the leader of the Pouvoir Du Vivant (Power of the Living), the French paramilitary faction that controls most of France and the primary antagonists of the Union of Hope. Another sign across the street says "Genet fights against disease". The signs in front of the market where people are being given food says "Every Wednesday Genet Feeds Paris".
    • Goofs
Considering his experience with the noise of the plane attracting attention, it seems like a mistake for Ash to land so close to Paris. Not only is it going to attract the attention of walkers, but there's a good chance people will come looking for it as well.
