Given the years passing from the transition from "Witching Hour" to "Asteria", the actors Dashiell McGaha-Schletter and Zoe McGaha-Schletter appear in the film at different ages spanning 7 years.
The logo music for Netherota Films is a melody Paul F Tompkins would sing at the conclusion of most episodes of his Spontaneanation podcast, where he would credit Eban Schletter by spelling out his name in song.
The scene involving the song "Bleh" was originally shot in a garage-set in September of 2010 as part of a planned film based on the album "Eban Schletter's Witching Hour". With the lack of money and the need to rebuild a new set, it would be another seven years before a second "Witching Hour" sequence would be shot, in August of 2017, which featured an elf boy dancing with a young girl. The Witching Hour movie was then abandoned as the script required more than could be attained on a micro budget. This footage was incorporated into a new idea which began filming in 2019 during the peak of Covid lock downs. The core cast and crew were all members of the McGaha-Schletter family.
For the scene in the enchanted forest where Rev meets the Warlock, Rev's side of the conversation was shot in early 2020 on the garage-set that was left over from the Witching Hour shoot. The Warlock was filmed in 2022 when Covid numbers had gone down.
