Al Jarreau: After All

A powerful ballad by Al Jarreau and one of his definite classic hits, "After All" also brings his most artistic music video, if not his very best. Along with his performance on a set, we have a couple of dancers who perform a great romantic and dramatic dance routine, a perfect ballet choreography where they seduce each other, get apart for a while until they reconcile and reach the ecstasy of it all. Add to their magic the setting which has the vibes of those classic Metro musicals - for some reason I kept remembering one of the numbers from "An American in Paris" or something close to that. It's such a dream quality that it's easy to get conquered through it all, the visuals and the song which is a perfect melody for the ears with Al's amazing voice. Outstanding. 9/10.
