- TriviaThe film was leaked online by an anonymous source on March 4, 2023. This led to widespread speculation that Warner Bros. Discovery canceled the project for tax write-offs as they were known to do around this time, although the announcement of an official release puts the theory in question. Even then, the motivation behind the leak remains unknown.

I am a massive fan of the franchise, and this movie didn't disappoint. I haven't seen the Velma siries, just didn't seem all that interested in if. And the trailer was poor. Good to know that some of the other reviewers said it wasn't very good, so kudos to them.
The film starts off with a projector figure, bright orange and looking like fire is chasing Louis and Jimmy, who own the place. They then escape and fearing for their lives and other people's. I think the dynamic works. The Chemistry is also very good between the cast members here. And it definitely feels like they've known each other for a long time.
I honestly found Velma searching up the place, and then looking out the window of the place to it being absolutely destroyed. That was a funny moment. And honestly the characters dynamics worked superbly well in this movie. And the absolute chaos that ensued was also really fun. We had an action-packed start with Metropolis being completely destroyed. And the gang have to figure out what has happened to our Heroes. And the gags genuinely had me laughing hard at times. This movie is great with it's jokes, and the Superman jokes were also very funny and definitely landed after taking off.
The animation is always great in Scooby-Doo movies, always stands the test of time, and always ahead of it's time. And it's no different here, Lex Luthor looks like the real one from the comics and the Movies and the TV Shows, and Louis Lane also looks really good in this. The films use of colour and effects are always a delight. And they always make it seem kids friendly. Also the soundtrack is also great here too.
But, the movie is tonely off. Like some parts happen far too quickly. And the first 10 minutes didn't really have any space to breath. The scenes were fast-paced and that didn't work for me. I feel like the movie could of been more stretched out, as the plot and the storyline was great and it did lead to some great throwbacks but in reality it would of worked better if it was longer.
Although with that being said, I love the grand scale of this movie. And the new Character in this world, Krypto who was a great dog. And he looked like a companion of Superman. And the action set-pieces are really fun. And epic in scale. The final act is really brutal, and is back and forth between good and evil. Definitely back to form Movie for the Scooby-Doo and Co.
Would I recommend this movie?
Yes Indeed, I thought it was fun and exciting. And had great chemistry between the cast members. 6.5/10.
