I couldn't get into the movie. The story was confusing and not interesting. I stoped watching before the end.

There were clearly some earnest and committed performances in this movie. Unfortunately I couldn't for the life of me understand what was going on. With the exception of a few isolated interactions between characters where I understood what was happening in that second, I had NO CLUE what the overarching story was all about. If anybody else knows or can point me to an analysis of the movie I would appreciate it. In my opinion there are genres where confusion and uncertainty about what is happening are a natural part of the genre (mystery dramas, spy movies, etc.). But for a movie driven by relationships, life experiences, or romance, I don't expect to be having to spend so much time being puzzled and lost.
