The exterior building in the 2nd drug trip where Sam entered was first discovered in 2020. It inspired the director to give it a real "Stephen King's Overlook Hotel" vibe. The location of that building remains exactly as it was the day it was shot and the day it was first discovered in 2020. It is a well maintained building in a well maintained area with no signs of life. It's intimidating exterior is exactly what the director was seeking out for the movie. The closer you get, the more you feel you are entering the belly of the beast.

Crazy credits
During the end credits, the audience sees multiple lighthouses in a calm sea. This is to have multiple meanings involving time, reality, despair, choices, and freedom. It is supposed to symbolize the opposite to what occurred at the introduction of the film where there was a single lighthouse in the storm before the opening credits.
