There is a point in this movie where a character exclaims "get to the point!" And that really sums up this movie.
Supposedly this story is partly about MK Ultra and the government's experiments on unwitting civilians.
Though references are made to those experiments, it is more the story of the main characters decent into madness due to drug use which is presented in a disproportionately sinister and confusing way.
I'm not sure what the film maker was trying to achieve but the end result is disjointed, overly wordy, confusing and overall boring art project that takes an hour & 1/2 to say nothing
Such a disappointment.

It's hideous I'm afraid. Can't even remember how I came across it or how it ended up on my watchlist but the premise sounded intriguing and the poster looked good. The alarm bells rang immediately though with a poorly acted and tediously banal opening monologue. The credits were high school level. The first scene post credits was bad high school level acting... both stiff and chemistry free. There's zero timing between the cast and the dialogue is stilted. The direction is poor and the whole things lacks any creative spark. I think the good reviews and scores are presumably because only friends and family have seen it. Brings me no pleasure to say that everyone else should avoid.

Sorry, I can't really tell you what this movie is about. But it is a mess.
In its defence I could make a case for it being a drug fuelled journey into chaos in the LA scene, but that would be a reach.
Everything about it screams that this is a terrible production. The actors are awful with no chemistry. The script is devoid of any coherence and just rambles. The direction is film school navel gazing. And the less said about the plot and story, the better.
This sort of drivel may cut the mustard in Commiefornia but in we have to watch it in the rest of the world with real people and the fact that no one will ever watch this trash means the people have spoken. Gotta love democracy.
