Dahlia De Sade was originally cast as Delia Anguish, but circumstances prevented her from taking on a large role. She went on to play the victim ravaged by The Wendigo during the end credits.
Cast members Christine Fisler, Alyson Rodriguez Orenstein and Emily Rose Currier all auditioned for the role of Daisy Derkins. Director Mark Mackner went with Susanna D'Arcy, but liked all who auditioned and gave them other roles.
Cast members Doug Layne, Dave Ferrier, Mark Mackner, Emily Rose Currier, Dahlia De Sade and JD Korejko all appear in the sequel "Daisy Derkins vs. the Bloodthirsty Beast of Barren Pines" as different characters.
During the filming of the scene where Daisy, Kristy and Misty are seated on the couch and hear the spooky laughter, they were drinking real alcohol.
