State Anthem of Ukraine (Metal Cover)

Music videos not really my thing - seen too many of them over my years. But sometimes stumble upon something, that really impresses. This one was one such thing.

One of my main complaints - visuals of such videos rarely goes hand-in-hand with lyrics. But here - just almost perfect timing and corresponding frames with what is singing.

Beginning with rising sun - cool metaphor. Mix of nature landscapes - was not aware that Ukraine have such diverse terrain - with beautiful cityscapes - adds to immerse into idea of diverse nation.

This music video one was very strong filmmaker's vision to deliver emotional subtext of song.

I discovered this music video by being musician myself, through my Ukrainian colleague showing me this work, saying that this is the most popular cover among his people right now.. Must say - this is probably one of most strong and coherent delivery of music with video i saw through my 7 years musician career. Synergy between words, selected voices and visuals, that were put on screen managed to move my mind and heart. Without being overly aggressive or pushy - it shows that persons behind this film truly love that land and those people.

Guitar solo in the middle was really appreciated! Again, wish to see some more from same team of musicians and film-makers.

Since watching "Steel Will" decided to browse what other works were create by same team. Found this from film director - Eugene Khazin and music composer Chris Wirsiq, i think?

Must say - powerful thing. Even me, not being Ukrainian or having any connections to Ukraine - i was pleasantly surprised. To turn state anthem in working metal cover - that was a bold move, and find corresponding and exciting images - that is some truly creative thinking. Good music video.

Was applauding while watching. Showed to couple friends, just to get some kind of reaction - surprisingly, different ages and genders - all liked it.
