When Ben is laying on the ground and Madec is shooting near him to see if he is still alive, Ben is facing away from Madec. There is then a close up of Bens face and specifically his eye which shows a reflection of Madec turning and walking away. He would not be visible in a reflection since Ben is facing away.
When Madec hands Ben the rifle, he says the Leupold scope is the best scope out of Sweden. Leupold is an American brand who makes all their scopes in the United States.
The desert they are in is obviously not the Mojave.
When the bullets are fired into the water jug, the jug would not have been knocked out of his hands and flown yards away, as if it were struck by a sledgehammer. Instead, that bullet would have punctured the jug, rupturing and bursting it due to the water pressure, resulting in it being displaced only a couple of feet.
When two shots are fired into the ground inches in front of the body, those bullets would have ricocheted into the body, instead of leaving he body unharmed.
