It's always nice to discover a new stand-up comedian, well at least new to me, when their show turn out to be funnier then you thought it would be. Kathleen Madigans perfomance was a nice surprise. She knows how to tell a story, that's her best asset, she does good impressions while having her fictive conversations, and her jokes might be subtle but are effective. I like listening to her, it's like listening to stories from your funniest friend at a party , the one that has a funny answer to everything. I will for sure look out for her other shows, just to find out if they are as entertaining as this one was.

She is seriously one of the funniest comedians on the planet. Now, I will say that if you're a gen z/millennial, you won't appreciate her humor nor understand it so as Nancy Reagan liked to say, "just say no". For everyone else over 50.....ENJOY!!!
Kathleen is hysterical. I rarely laugh at comedy shows for some reason, she give me great laughs. Thanks Kathleen. You are the best writer, your delivery is stellar, and it's my pleasure to watch every single performance for many years. Love the stories about your parents.

Madigan's newest Netflix special, "Bothering Jesus" had me on the floor, because she stayed in her lane. Madigan Again left me flat and annoyed. I found her at her best when making fun at herself and own experience (specifically, being Irish-Catholic in America) Her 20-minute tirade about Afghanistan was full of cringe-worthy jokes. In general, her racial jokes about things and people she admitted to not understanding were lazy "old- world" comedy and completely irrelevant. Anyone who doesn't view Muslim people as terrorists would not find these jokes funny ("Lol, Afghanis are weird and uncivilized, unlike Americans, I don't trust them!" etc). Otherwise, some very funny moments. But overall, her comedy just didn't quite land for me the way it has in her other performances (particularly her newest performance, "Bothering Jesus")
(*hint: join the modern age of comedy, Madigan, cause you can be funny as hell)
