Exclusive: Fox continues to draw on animation as a major source of development with workplace comedy Greater Good from American Dad co-creator Mike Barker and Comedy Bang! Bang! director Stoney Sharp its latest bet.
The network has committed to a script for the animated comedy, which is being developed internally at Fox Entertainment. Barker and Sharp will act as writers and exec producers on the project.
It comes a day after Deadline revealed that The Simpsons and Bob’s Burger network was developing hybrid animated-single-cam comedy Demi-God with Bella and the Bulldogs writer Katie Greenway.
Greater Good asks whether the world is worth saving. Maybe? It’s a workplace comedy about an international team of highly qualified but socially remedial misfits working and living in a hi-tech laboratory in the middle of rural Oklahoma. Now that we’re self-isolating at home to help defeat the Covid-19 pandemic, this may be the perfect opportunity to catch up on things that have been in our Netflix watchlist for a long while.
The novel coronavirus, a mutated strand from the family of coronaviruses, originated from Wuhan, China late last year, but currently, every single country in the world is battling the outbreak. As of now, more than 714,000 people have contracted the disease and 33,617 have passed away due to severe cases of acute respiratory syndrome. In the Us alone, more than 139,000 patients have been identified and approximately 158 million people are under lockdown across all 50 states. While the ramifications of the Covid-19 may have dealt the world of economics an unprecedented blow, business models like Netflix have profited from people spending more time at home with little to do.
Now, obviously, the platform has enough TV shows and movies...

Married vlogger duo Jess and Gabriel Conte, who frequently discuss their Christian faith on their popular social channels -- which reach 10 million followers across all platforms -- have released their first Christmas Ep titled I’ll Be Home.
And even before Thanksgiving has come and gone, the couple’s fans are clearly hungry for some holiday cheer: the album hit the No. 1 position on the iTunes 'Holiday' charts, as well as No. 8 in albums overall. It is currently No. 2 on the Holiday charts, second to Pentatonix's Christmas Is Here! I’ll Be Home, priced at $6, features five Christmas standards: "Let It Snow," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Oh Come All Ye Faithful," "Feliz Navidad," and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas."
The Contes have collaborated musically on three previous EPs: an acoustic pop cover franchise called Under The Covers (which has yielded two volumes to date) and Greater, an album of worship covers.
