Lost On A Mountain In Maine tells the harrowing true tale of Donn Fendler, a spirited 12-year-old boy who found himself stranded alone in the wilds of Maine for over a week in 1939. Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights to the true-events-inspired feature film, “Lost on a Mountain In Maine,” which will begin its theatrical run on Nov. 1.

From Sylvester Stallone’s Balboa Productions, the film tells the true story of 12-year-old Donn Fendler, who “becomes separated from his family by a fast-moving storm atop a treacherous mountain,” the film’s logline reads.

It continues: “For nine days, Donn fights to stay alive as he attempts to survive the unforgiving wilderness of northern Maine without food, proper clothing, or the knowledge of how bad his situation really is. Fox is staying in the survival business.

The network, which airs Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test, has ordered another survival competition series – Extracted.

Giving few details about the show, the network said “for the first time ever, the contestants are not in charge of their destiny”.

It comes from Sony Pictures Television’s B17 Entertainment, Sylvester Stallone’s Balboa Productions and Fox Entertainment.

B17 was founded by Brien Meagher and Rhett Bachner and is behind series such as Roku’s Thanks A Million and Netflix’s History of Swear Words.

Stallone’s Balboa, which has a first-look deal with Amazon Studios, is known for its scripted TV and movies including Paramount+’s Tulsa King and features including Scavenger Hunt and Lost On a Mountain In Maine. It is also behind Stallone’s reality series The Family Stallone.
