When the family car loses its brakes and goes off the paved road, it travels a fair distance up an unpaved road before stopping. When the family walks down to the paved road, the car is seen to be much closer than it had traveled.
The town causes the Indian facade to be taken down from the front of the Maison Mumbai. Later in the movie, Madame Mallory is in the Maison and a shot of her has an open window over her shoulder - the back of the facade is clearly seen in the window - apparently still up.
At 1:05:51, when Madame is making an omelet under Hassan's instructions, we see her hand raising after breaking an egg in long shot and then again in closeup.
Marguerite collected mushroom called Boletus luridiformis which is fully edible, but she was told by Madame Mallory that it is Boletus satanas which is poisonous.
An omelette made in traditional French style should not be browned to such a great extent, even if it is a new creation by this emerging chef.
When presenting Marguerite with the 5 mother sauces, one of them is a chunky tomato sauce.
In the beginning of the movie, they show a crowd of people trying to buy a basket of sea urchins in Bombay/Mumbai. Reality is that Indians don't eat Sea urchins. Most people in India only eat a few 'safe' kinds of fish and persuading them to try something different can be difficult.
The fireworks displays are artificial. With real fireworks, there would be a noticeable delay between a visual explosion and audio of the explosion. In the film, the boom is instantaneous.
At 32:57, you see the spice box with costly spices. It is unlikely that someone will put coriander in such box.
At 1:22:53, Hassan opens the container labeled as 'dhania' but finds 'haldi'.
When Hassan is first making the 5 main French sauces, he is is mixing egg yolks in a bowl and adding oil and something that looks like mustard. He is making mayonnaise, not one of the sauces. Hollandaise, the one sauce out of the five made with yolks, is made in a bowl over steaming water and adding clarified butter.
While the family travels to France, the shot after Hassan tastes the Tomato, the shot is not in France but the scenery is in South Tyrol, Italy. Val di Funes with the Geissler Mountains in the back.
At 20:30, Mansur picks the call but he was unable to pick. But he still puts it to his ear and says hello.
