There are some really good moments, but I just can't shake off the "Televisa presenta" impression. There's always a criminal, a unscrupulous lawyer, a few poor people, and a few too good to be true characters. In this kind of series, there shouldn't be such a strong divide between good and evil, because this isn't a comedy dealing with light subjects. If you're tackling a serious topic, do it professionally. Given that it wasn't done professionally, this will remain just another soap opera that isn't close to being a drama. As long as mistresses, drug lords, corrupt policemen, and exaggerated scenes persist, Latin series will never be taken seriously.
I watched it in Spanish, my mother tongue, which I always enjoy, but the massive, intrusive high proportion of foul language- just every few words- turned me off and ruined it. The soap opera over-emotional burden is daunting. 90% of the series becomes predictable, though the 10% remaining do present some twists to justify a mild thriller or at least a mystery. Characters are cardboard for the most part. I couldn't find one single outstanding actor either. Except the kids, who once gone, very early, are sorely missed. The story is interesting, even original, and the sadness real and communicative. But a huge editing job was needed, in many respects. Pity, it had great potential.
If you're looking for something to pass the time, this show might be it. Be aware that there's a lot of violence and a lot of unanswered questions at the end. Could have l been so much better because the starting point (the accident and how it destroys those families lives) is increadible material to work with. The non sensical violence and the fact that not everything ties up at the end ended up being a real disappointment for me. I'm not sure I would recommend this show unless you like violence in tv shows. Also, is this really how Mexico works? Things are solved by the "law of the people". Hope not.
With tinges of overacting, I still recommend watching the ACCIDENT. Everyone is flawed as everyone is affected. There are villains a plenty, with great acting by the main villain Charro. I particularly enjoyed the constant interplay of different storylines by the main couples. Yes, you could have omitted the three sex scenes, added nothing. But that's just me.
I found the dialogue believable and well written. Many modern themes are delineated with nuance: materialism, avarice, infidelity, drug use, parental abuse and neglect, classicism. The city of Santa Cruz and the surrounding area make a beautiful backdrop to all the action.

... having its own Spanish-soap dumb-charm, with quite a few stupid happenings... like putting a brick in a ziplock-bag weighing-down a couple items thrown into a river, when items on their own would be impossible floating
... everyone-characters overacting more than not can wear viewers down... just watch without overthinking and it becomes less-annoying more-watchable... every actor filling their parts pretty well... one stands out that without him this production would not have succeeded much at all... Alberto Guerra as the hated villain Charro... he alone is worth viewing-time, making most of each-every evil-minute onscreen
... ending as-if there's another season coming... bet many of those giving poor ratings will be watching again, it's that guilty-pleasure-allure.
