Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki both found fame before starring on Supernatural, with Ackles on Days of Our Lives and Padalecki on Gilmore Girls. Ackles has embraced voice acting post-Supernatural, voicing Batman in several animated films, like The Long Halloween, Part One. Padalecki continued working on TV after Supernatural, starring as Cordell Walker in the drama series Walker, but the show was canceled after season 4.
Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have been notable TV stars for a number of years. Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Two does Batman v Superman's "Martha" scene better with a clever callback. The Dceu faltered, mishandling major characters like Superman, leading to divisive reactions to many films. The John Constantine moment in Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Two works better than Batman v Superman's "Martha" scene due to natural storytelling.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is easily one of DC's most controversial movies, and Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Two has managed to do the Dceu film's "Martha" scene better eight years later. The Dceu faltered throughout its run, with major characters like Superman going missing for years, and when they were finally onscreen, more often than not, they were handled incorrectly. Among the many divisive movies in the Dceu, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was the one that tipped the scales for the franchise.

Home viewing charts inspire deja vu: “Anyone but You,” a hit as a PVOD release, just debuted at Netflix. It knocked out Netflix’s expensive “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver” from first place after two weeks, falling to #6.
Similarly, “Dune: Part Two” returned for its second week as #1 at both iTunes (ranking by transactions) and Fandango (which calculates by revenue).
The “Dune” sequel fended off challenges by two recent theatrical releases. Dev Patel’s “Monkey Man” (Universal), once intended as a Netflix original, is #2 at iTunes, third at Fandango. The family-oriented “Arthur the King” (Lionsgate) took second at Fandango, but only #6 at iTunes. Both initially are available to rent for 48 hours for $19.99.
Two new home-play debuts also made top 10 lists. “Cash Out” (Saban) is #9 at iTunes, renting at $6.99; starring John Travolta, the critically reviled title may be getting as much attention for its little-known director Ives. That’s...

The iconic DC Comics storyline Crisis on Infinite Earths is being adapted into a three-part animated film series. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Two was recently released digitally after the first installment premiered in early 2024. During a recent interview, producer Butch Lukic, who is known for his work on other Dcau projects, discussed the film’s larger budget.

However, at the same time, Lukic also highlighted the sheer volume of work it took to adapt the expansive comic book storyline into three films. As a result, Lukic’s comments indirectly imply that the Dcau film series may have encouraged one of the most toxic and controversial practices that has also plagued the MCU. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two has limited character development, which impacts the emotional investment. Low stakes and lack of urgency make the film's plot feel tedious. Lack of focus and interconnection between characters weakens the overall story.
Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two begins directly after Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One, an unexpectedly moving entry, ends, continuing the story of the Monitor (Jonathan Adams) and the multiverse of superheroes who are doing everything in their power to stop the destruction of their earths. The film is two of three that will close out the DC Universe Animated Movies’ Tomorrowverse, but while Part One had plenty of action and a lot of heart, Part Two falters and loses steam. The stakes aren’t as high and the characters are more scattered without focus.

The producers had pre-planned to end the Tomorrowverse after 10 movies, despite wanting to do more. They felt that a shorter arc would be more effective. Adapting Crisis on Infinite Earths was complex, as the audience had high expectations and cherished memories of the original story. The creative team did not look at the Arrowverse's Crisis crossover for inspiration, choosing instead to stick closely to the George Perez and Marv Wolfman version of the story.
