This review isn't meant to insult anyone who worked on the movie. It's really just to give some feedback to those who did.
I think a lot of this film had potential! The story wasn't your usual "businesswoman goes back to her small town and falls in love with a man who lives there," which I appreciate. Also the actors weren't half bad!
My issues lie in the storytelling and visuals. In terms of storytelling, it all felt very confusing, and things happened a little too fast. The visuals also created a confusing feeling too. MC does one thing but oh! Wait! Now she's suddenly doing something else! Now she's outside! Now she's sitting at a staircase! Now she's at work! It just feels jumpy.
The visuals used for flashbacks or "im taking you to see a different perspective" weren't bad! But because this movie has a spirit in it, i wish they had some visual effects to indicate that he wasn't human. They could have put a ghostly filter on him or something, maybe made him black and white.
At points, the lighting was very strange, and i found it difficult to see the actors and actresses at times, which is a shame, because they were very pretty.
All in all, the story was fine (though a bit too all-over-the-place), and the visuals need some work. I'm not hating on this film or anyone who worked on it- you can tell they all really truly made an effort and I fully respect that.
