The film was an entirely exterior shoot, working predominantly with natural light. Therefore, the crew had a very specific shoot schedule as they were constantly chasing the best light for the scene.
The film was set and shot entirely on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
The cast and crew were fighting the elements constantly. Ice cold gustily winds, battering rain and swarms of biting midges.
There were times when the crew would stop whatever scene they were shooting, or they'd stop the cars on the way to a location in order to spontaneously get intimate shots of the local wildlife.
The film was shot in 21 days.
