This is a true story of a Ukrainian family's departure from Ukraine at the beginning of the 2022 Russian invasian, the (awesome) cat they left behind, and their attempt to bring the cat to their new home. Strangers from around the world worked to make it happen, dealing with bureaucracy, injury, and tight timelines. This is a remarkable story, presented in an engaging and creative style, with just the right amount of drama and humor. I hope it becomes available on a streaming platform soon. I saw it in a combined showing with Searching for Nika, another documentary about heroic animal rescues in Ukraine.
