An Fhidil Ghorm was filmed on location in Rathmullan County Donegal Ireland where one of the Producers Pierce Boyce grew up but left in 1983. He always wanted to shoot a movie there when he started in the business in 1993 so this was a dream project for him. The main location was actually a hotel when he was still living in Rathmullan.
