Nadezhda Koshkina (whose name translates as "hope") runs a private crisis center, nicknamed ""House of Hope"". This center is for women who find themselves in a difficult situation: beaten wives, homeless, ones, who have lost the will to live... Koshkina understands her wards like no one else: in her youth she almost died at the hands of her abusing boyfriend. Once, Natalya Bolshova, a famous TV host of a female talk show, became a victim of domestic violence and gets into ""House of Hope"". Koshkina suddenly recognizes her failed killer in Bolshova's husband. He realizes that Koshkina knows too much about him and decides to destroy both her and ""House of Hope"".
