Action thriller Jet Trash is coming to home entertainment platforms this September. This dramatic title, starring Sofia Boutella and Robert Sheehan (Geostorm), has already had a successful limited theatrical run, playing in seventeen cities.

Jet Trash is an upcoming action thriller, from director Charles Henri Belleville and distributor Indican Pictures. In Jet Trash, two gangsters are on the run, in India. Here, their past catches up to them. Jet Trash stars: Sofia Boutella, Robert Sheehan (Geostorm), Craig Parkinson (Watership Down) and Osy Ikhile. To release this September 4th on home entertainment formats, a preview of the upcoming release, for Jet Trash, is hosted here. The trailer and promotional materials show Lee (Sheehan) and Sol (Ikhile) enjoying life. But, their tranquil holiday can last only so long, when Vix (Boutella) re-enters their lives. A former friend, Vix knows both of their pasts. And now, both gangsters will have to face their former criminal lives, in the exotic locale of India. As the 16th annual Westival gets underway, festival goers old and new descend on Gladstone Heritage Village in Western Australia and immediately settle into their rival camps: Aboriginal and Morris dancers, punk rockers and ukulele players, winos and musos. Among them are pretentious theremin technician Roland (Robert Sheehan), an Irish dog-washer making his Westival debut in the small workshop hut, and folksy fiddler Keevey (Rebecca Breeds), a seasoned pro who tours with family outfit The Warrickins. Following an ampli-frying duet in which Roland recognises latent talent in Keevey, their mutual attraction threatens to give way to unrequited admiration when he inadvertently criticises her folk rock roots.

Ben Elton’s first film since Maybe Baby in 2000, after which he moved to Freemantle, Western Australia and gained Australian citizenship, Three Summers draws from his experiences of nearby Fairbridge folk festival and presumably his marriage to a bass player to tell the story of a fictional festival.

The Earthquake Bird: Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider, above) and Riley Keough (Logan Lucky) are finalizing their deals to star in The Earthquake Bird. The producers of UK drama-thriller Jet Trash have enlisted Youtube star Caspar Lee to take part in a comedy presentation which will follow UK screenings of the film this month.

The 15-minute video will feature Lee interviewing, and playing Christmas games with, the cast of the movie.

According to producers, the idea for the video came about following test screenings for 15-20 year olds who largely expressed approval for the film but admitted that they find it increasingly difficult to pull themselves away from online platforms and into cinemas.

British-born South African vlogger Lee has 6.9 million Youtube subscribers and 4.2m followers on Twitter.

Directed by former Screen Star of Tomorrow Charles Henri Belleville, the Edinburgh premiere stars Robert Sheehan (Mortal Instruments), Sofia Boutella (The Mummy) and Osy Ikhile (Heart of the Sea).

Konkona Sen Sharma’s A Death In The Gunj, which premiered at Toronto, is backed by indie production house Studioz Idrream. Directed by Serbia’s Goran Paskalijevic, The Land Of The Gods (Dev Bhoomi) stars India’s Victor Banerjee.

The line-up for the 70th Edinburgh International Film Festival (Eiff) has been unveiled this morning by artistic director Mark Adams.

This year’s Eiff (June 15-26) will comprise a total 161 features from 46 countries including: 22 world premieres, five international premieres, 17 European premieres and 85 UK premieres.

Highlights include the UK premiere of Disney-Pixar animation Finding Dory, in-person events that include Us indie filmmaker Kevin Smith and Sex & The City actress Kim Cattrall, and the opening and closing gala world premieres of the previously announced Tommy’s Honour and Whisky Galore!.

Old classics will be re-imagined with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra performing the score to E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial live at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre and the world premiere of the newly-restored 4K version of Highlander, celebrating its 30th anniversary with star Clancy Brown in attendance.

First Look: Shooting wraps in Goa on hedonistic backpacker thriller, starring Mortal Instruments star Robert Sheehan.

London-based production company Sums Film & Media has released the first image to emerge from the set of its new production Jet Trash, which has just completed filming in Goa, India.

The feature is directed by former Screen Star of Tomorrow Charles Henri Belleville whose previous feature The Inheritance won the inaugural Raindance Award at the BIFAs and whose latest production Mortlake starring Tom Hardy is in post-production.

Jet Trash stars Robert Sheehan, best known for his role in urban superhero series Misfits and the recent Mortal Instruments.

He stars alongside Osy Ikhile, who will be seen in Ron Howard’s upcoming Heart of the Sea, Sofia Boutella (Monsters 2: Dark Continent), Jasper Pääkkönen (Heart of a Lion) and Craig Parkinson (Control, Four Lions).
