The Straw Hats arrive on a white ocean above the clouds. While they marvel at the otherworldly sights, they are attacked by a powerful masked figure, and a mysterious flying knight comes to their aid.
After bidding farewell to Gan Fall and passing through the gate to Skypiea, the pirates encounter a family of Skypieans. They explain the workings of life in the sky and introduce the crew to the different dials.
Nami takes the waver out for a test ride and discovers the forbidden Upper Yard. Meanwhile, law enforcement arrives and rudely harasses the rest of the gang.
The pirates are fed up and ready to leave Skypiea, but Nami, Zoro, Robin, and Chopper are whisked away aboard the Merry. The remaining Straw Hat Pirates must face Enel's challenge, so Conis shows them the way to Upper Yard.
Aboard the Little Crow, Luffy, Usopp, and Sanji enter Upper Yard and must choose an ordeal. Meanwhile, Zoro and co. have their own troubles at the Sacrificial Altar. When they leave, Chopper is left to repair the Merry.
Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp are locked in a life-or-death struggle against the Priest Satori with his mysterious spheres and the power of mantra, which can seemingly predict their movements.
Gan Fall is severely burned during his battle, and Chopper musters the courage for a leap of faith. Elsewhere, Luffy and co. finally discover a way to defeat the Priest Satori, and the Shandians prepare for an all-out attack on God.
The Shandians' attack on Upper Yard commences. At the Sacrificial Altar, the crew is finally reunited, and everyone recounts what has happened. The Strawhat pirates devise a plan to steal the gold on the island.
The crew splits up into Nami's escape team and Luffy's exploration team. Unfortunately, a giant snake attacks and separates Luffy's team. To top it all off, the Priests have set up their ordeals across the whole island.
Only 80 remain in the Upper Yard survival game. Zoro finds himself face-to-face with the Shandian Braham, Luffy takes on Wyper and his burning bazooka, and Nami's group on the Merry has the deadliest encounter of all.
Luffy's fight with Wyper lands him in a dark cavern filled with ruins, Enel leaves a deadly pair of new enemies to deal with Nami and Gan Fall, and Chopper comes face to face with Sky Punk Gedatsu.
Enel wipes out several fighters regardless of their allegiance. An hour remains until God's deadline, and only twenty-four survivors remain. Meanwhile, after a deadly struggle with the rotund Yama, Robin makes the discovery of a lifetime.
While Luffy remains lost in a strange, dark cavern, at the Upper Ruins, Priest Ohm confronts Zoro, Gan Fall, and Wyper with his Ordeal of Iron. As the fight wears on, Shandian warriors, Nami, and Aisa make a sudden appearance.
After being swallowed by the giant snake, Nami, Gan Fall, and Aisa meet someone they never expected to be in the serpent's belly. As Priest Ohm's Ordeal of Iron comes to a close in the Upper Ruins, Zoro unleashes a powerful new technique.
The lost ruins of Shandora are revealed in a spectacle of lightning, and the remaining survivors of Enel's twisted game begin their showdown with the self-styled deity. As the group faces him, "God" reveals his ultimate goal.
God Enel reveals his grand masterpiece to the sole survivor of his deadly game, and Luffy finally frees himself of the snake's stomach. Meanwhile, Conis makes a desperate dash to Angel Island to warn its residents of their impending doom.
