Boring
Trust (2025) tries to be a tense survival thriller, but honestly it plays more like an accidental comedy. The story is messy, the characters act in ways that make no sense, and the tension never really lands. Instead of being thrilling, it often feels chaotic and unintentionally funny. In the end, there isn't much here that's actually engaging or worth remembering.
Trust me you ain't missing anything
The movie follows Lauren Lane, an actress who gets hacked by some unknown person, and all her personal information-including a pregnancy test-gets leaked to the public. To escape the chaos, she takes a break and goes on a retreat, staying at an Airbnb, not realizing she's about to get caught in the middle of a crime spree and a terrifying home burglary.
I thought the film itself was fun and creative, especially the sequences where she's trapped and trying to get herself out. Without spoiling anything, the tension works well, and there are some gripping moments. That said, certain characters aren't fleshed out the way they should've been. There are characters who clearly needed longer arcs, and one in particular seemed set up for a major storyline that could have added depth, but the anticipation was a missed opportunity, leaving the moment feeling flat instead of powerful.
Sophie Turner's character could've been stronger, too. At times she felt more like an actress losing her mind and turning into a potential psychopath, rather than a fully realized protagonist. There were many open doors that didn't quite close. On the other hand, Katey Sagal absolutely delivers, as she always does. Her performance and her iconic voice add so much weight to the film-it's one of the highlights for me.
With all that said, I do wish the film had landed a stronger conclusion. I still don't understand how Lauren ended up in handcuffs-it was clearly self-defense, and there was even a witness. That weak ending hurts what could have been a really sharp thriller.

A flop
I don't know what directors see in her. She should stop acting right away before she starts to get trolled over the cinema. Yes i'm serious. Yes she did good job in Game of Thrones, played her character so well that everyone hate her but her expressions, omg makes it really hard to adore her acting skills. I hope the producers will now come to their senses and keep their distance to her after this piece of dog sht they call a movie.
What was this movie?
Trust (2025) is a thriller movie starring Sophie Turner in the leading role and the movie itself was really freaking atrocious.
Positives for Trust (2025): My one positive for this movie is Sophie Turner's performance as the main character.
Negatives for Trust (2025): The movie sets up these different plotlines for Sophie Turner's character, but they are not explored whatsoever and instead we get a generic home invasion movie with Sophie Turner trapped in a small room. The home invaders in this movie are the most generic and one-dimensional buffoons I've seen in this genre. You also have Sophie Turner trapped in the small room and she doesn't makes any attempts to get out of the room and when she finds a solution, she does something unbelievably stupid that makes you question the writer of this movie. The movie is literally wasting your time with filler that goes nowhere and means nothing to the story. And finally, the resolution to the main plot is so stupid that it feels like the writer is insulting the audience's intelligence.
Overall, Trust (2025) is a dull and boring thriller movie with some of the worst writing I've ever seen in my life and it is easily one of the worst movies of 2025.

A Good premise done quite wrong
If ever there was a case of wanting fervently the fatal failure of the protagonist.... this fits the bill to the T..... Could have been a good although predictable and done to death survival thriller..., but ends up a 'damp' (no pun intended) squib. Sophie Turner once again proves she is the ultimate 'meh' leading lady... Sorry but the trailer was muchhh better.

- GoofsWhen the two criminals break in Lauren runs to what looks like a bedroom closet but instead is a boiler room. When the criminals try to pull the door open the handle breaks off, apparently locking Lauren in the room. The latch mechanism is clearly seen in the door when both sets of handles. However, neither Lauren nor the criminals ever think of using their finger to simply slide the latch to the side and open the door.
