Definitely the most boring episode in the SERIES so far. It was worse than the true crime episode in season 7 that no one seemed to like. At least the true crime episode had a compelling mystery. This honeymoon episode was bloody boring.
Fillion and Dewan have ZERO chemistry together, especially in this episode. And the characters were even on their freakin honeymoon.
GET RID OF BAILEY.
She brings down Fillion's performance just by sharing scenes and interacting with him. I was so bored listening to Nolan and Bailey's conversations in the episode. They are just not compelling to watch or listen to. I am still perplexed why the show hired Dewan as his love interest, seeing as how their chemistry is like rubbing 2 soggy sticks together hoping for a spark.

These novelty episodes with terrible camera work need to stop.
At least once an episode I seem to say "this is so stupid" and this episode had me saying it several times. Virtually nothing happened except a hammy honeymoon plot... who takes so many cameras away with them anyway?
I genuinely wish they would kill Bailey off; she is so unrealistic, over hyped (while being totally puny and tiny - genuinely don't think she would pass as a firefighter EMT physically) and Jenna Dewan's portrayal is wooden and there's literally no chemistry with Nathan Fillion at all. John Nolan also has to be the most cursed character on TV... his career has been one disaster after the next! Even John McClane wasn't this unlucky!
I would definitely be down for an Angela/Nyla spin off though. They are awesome.

Love the rookie - but there is zero chemistry between Bailey and Nolan. So tired of it. All the other characters are great (even Celina is growing on me but she is weak, too). Help this show! Bring back the blond doctor for Nolan. The banter between the cast is enjoyable. I don't mind the break in pace between intense crime scenes and fun. However, Bailey's acting skills are so poor. She can't even fake a yawn. Sorry Bailey. You are cute - but that's it.
The connection between Lucy and Tim is so fun to watch. Tim is a fantastic actor and so is Lucy. Love this connection. Please keep this going!

When I started to watch "the rookie" I looked forward to each new episode. They had cast issues which were glossed over but not forgotten. Now it seems that the show has degrated to being a silly soap opera. The latest episode is a perfect example. Instead of being a hard hitting drama about life on the streets in LA it has become a celebration of the characters as mushy as they have become. I don't know if they have changed writers or whatever but they need to make some changes if the show is going to survive. I give the show a three star only because I remember how good it was when it started. I hope someone with influence realizes how bad the show has become and makes the necessary adjustments.
This is the last episode for us. We've stuck through it as the storylines got more and more ridiculous in the hope it would return to the good old days, but it hasn't, so farewell Officer Nolan and friends.
This is the episode that broke the camel's back. What a ridiculous story. There's no realism in any part of it.

That's all I have to say but IMDb wants more characters and I'm struggling.

- TriviaThe bodega, Bob's Food Market, that Tim and Celina pull up to at about 00:10:40 and encounter a man with amnesia is the same filming location used for Toretto's Market & Cafe in The Fast and the Furious (2001) movie.
- GoofsNo matter how they paid for it, Lopez & Harper would never be given permission to stop what ever they're doing and fly to a different country (they never specify what country John and Bailey are in) and participate in an unofficial investigation that has nothing to do with any cases in Los Angeles.
