Diego Trujillo, who stars in the show as Walter Blanco, is actually partially bald on the top of his head. Therefore, at the beginning of the show and in some other episodes, he had to wear wigs to match the original character's look. Also, instead of a mustache-goatee beard, Walter sports a full beard in the final two episodes, which the actor was not able to grow. Thus, several patches of facial hair had to be glued to his face.
The show is a shot-for-shot Colombian remake of the hit American TV series Breaking Bad (2008), translated into Colombian Spanish for a foreign audience. Metastasis changes several aspects to better demonstrate the country's standards of living (i.e. the Blanco family only having one car instead of two, as this is uncommon among middle class families in Colombia).
In this series, they use a bus to cook methamphetamine early on, as opposed to Breaking Bad (2008) where they use an RV to cook early on.
