The Late Show with Stephen Colbert can deal with some pretty heavy subjects. But it's still a comedy show at the end of the day, and host Stephen Colbert likes to keep his guests at east. However, the late-night host admitted to getting carried away alongside a high-profile actor.

Fans have seen Colbert reach for a bottle of glass of liquor from time to time behind the Late Show desk. It's usually for a bit, but other times it's to promote a product or just help a guest relax if it makes sense.

"That is a rule of the show," Colbert said on Busy This Week. "If I have to drink alcohol for a bit, in rehearsals it's always tea, but in the show, it always has to be real alcohol. I'm not going to lie to the American people."

Busy Philipps knew there was a place for her in late-night TV. When her E! series “Busy Tonight” ended after seven months in 2019, she set her sights on a new home that was a little off the beaten path — but perfect for her Instagram-friendly brand of frank humor and fabulous looks.

QVC has given a second season order to its late-night talk series “Busy This Week” as the home shopping giant expands its content mix to reach new viewers via its QVC+ and Hsn+ streaming platforms.

Hosted by actor Busy Philipps, “Busy This Week” has been a high-profile example of efforts within Qurate Retail Group, parent company of QVC and Hsn, to embrace a new generation of celebrities and a wider range of programs and genres for its shopping-centric programming. The brands in recent months have pacted with personalities including Jennie Garth and Ana Gasteyer, for recurring appearances on the services. Garth and Gasteyer will serve as judge’s on the second season of QVC+/Hsn+ series “The Ultimate Gift Wrapping Challenge,” which bows Nov. 2.

Bette Midler is asking Disney to put the pedal to the metal when it comes to “Hocus Pocus 3.” While a third movie in the beloved Halloween franchise was officially announced in June 2022, Midler said on the QVC+ talk show “Busy This Week” (via Entertainment Weekly) that she has yet to see a script. That’s only an issue for the actor since she’s not getting any younger, nor are her longtime co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimi.

“I haven’t seen the script, but I’ve heard rumblings,” Midler said about the third movie. “I think if they’re gonna, they oughta, because time is not just marching, time is barrel-assing to the finish line. Get us while we’re still breathing, I mean, God!”

Screenwriter Jen D’Angelo confirmed to Entertainment Weekly last year following the end of the WGA strike that “Hocus Pocus 3” was still in development.

Bette Midler is calling on Disney and urging them to get a script for Hocus Pocus 3.

The star of the Halloween film says she has not seen a script for the third installment, which has been in development following the success of the sequel last year on Disney+.
