Nikki Glaser is perhaps best known for being a comedian and an actress — and now a Golden Globes host — but did you know she’s also an accomplished singer? “It was the first dream I ever had in wanting to be a performer,” she revealed in 2022 after being voted out of “The Masked Singer” while wearing a Snowstorm costume (watch above). Glaser’s musical chops brought her all the way to the Semi-Finals during Season 8 of Fox’s wild and wacky reality TV, but alas, she was bested by Amber Riley as Harp and Wilson Phillips as Lambs.
As the hilarious Roast legend explained at the time, her dream of singing “was squashed at such a young age and it just became something that was not attainable to me.” She added, “When this opportunity came up, it was so perfect. I think what held me back was the fact that...

The Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser has been tapped to host the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air live January 5, 2025 for the second time on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes.,” Glaser wrote in a statement. “It’s one of my favorite nights of television and now I get a front-row seat. The Golden Globes is not only a huge night for TV and film, but also for comedy. It’s one of the few times that show business not only allows, but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so).. It’s an exciting, yet challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars (who also might be getting wasted while seated next to their recent exes).”

On the morning of July 17, Nikki Glaser’s phone was flooded with texts from people all sending the same word: Emmy. It took the comedian a beat to understand.
“I thought maybe I was presenting at the Emmys or something,” she told TheWrap. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’m nominated?’ Like, someone had to actually say that to me before I understood.”
That’s how shocked the performer behind HBO’s “Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die” was by her special’s two nominations. This year, Glaser is the only female-led show to be nominated in the Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) category, where the other nominees feature Billy Joel, Dave Chappelle, Trevor Noah and Dick Van Dyke. Her editor Guy Harding was also nominated for Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming for the special.
“Someday You’ll Die” marks the comedian’s most vulnerable work to date. A deep dive into Glaser’s own “toxic shame,...
