Initially Sunaina was to play the female lead in this movie, finally it fell on Priya Anand.
The film's principal photography officially began on February 1, 2013 at ECR, Chennai. The director also started working with an environmentalist Abdul to set up a system on the set to educate everyone on environment friendly projects.
The film has been certified with a U by the censor board, but the tax exemption usually given to U certified movies has been denied by the State Government.Challenging the decision of the Government, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the producer of the film, said that he will not go down without a fight and without challenging the government's order.
