The movie is adapted from a French play and similarly to the play aims at getting very important messages across while making you laugh. I believe it reaches its goal very well. People expecting a simple comedy will be disappointed as the stories might get your eyes teary in some parts as it actually threads very serious subjects. The cast is very talented, the comedy and drama well balanced. I believe that if you watch it without preconceived expectations you will be pleasantry surprised by the range of emotions it will carry you through. We spend so much of the time worrying about our problems and issues that we are blind and sometimes insensitive to what others are going through, whereas sometimes even our own problems can be alleviated while we concentrate on being kind to others...
I left halfway through the movie .
This is what the movie is about, obsessions .
Each character suffers from a different obsession , but it is exaggeratedly acted . Mental journey ? If you do not have mind , obviously ...........
I didn't find it funny at all , in fact , I found it tedious, when it is supposed to be a comedy .
The acting is very exaggerated , especially Seda Bakan , who acts the same way in all her projects .
Seda always needs a star at her side so that people talk about her .
If you want to waste time and money , go see it .
I would have preferred to see another movie.

Six individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder find their paths intersecting at the office of Orhan Kerim Baykal, a specialist whose area of expertise isn't specified (presumably a psychiatrist, perhaps to avoid offending any particular profession). They've all been scheduled for the same appointment time. Even the doctor's secretary is quite quirky. I personally found the taxi driver with a counting compulsion the most relatable. // This is a Turkish adaptation of the 2017 Spanish film "Toc Toc." Beyond providing employment for those in the film industry, the necessity of such localizations escapes me. I definitely suspect a degree of laziness and a desire for an easy payday are at play. Thankfully, in contrast to the widespread practice before the 2000s, the original creative team now receives royalties, which offers some peace of mind. // This film is a notch above something you'd just passively watch on TV while multitasking. At the very least, they haven't made any catastrophic errors.
Bravo!
You seem to apply dramatic rules while transposing a script to another language and towards another viewer, yet you fail - 'cause you know what, some of them already watched the original movie, and knows the play script. You fail because you don't care about what "obsession" means. Take for example the "obsession" of the seemingly main character: Tourette. Does Tourette syndrome mean exposing unrevealed sexual instincts without any consciousness (by such direct "hit on words" like "yalarim", "o göte bülbül öte" and so on) ? Shame on you for debasing such a complicated disease to an underrated laugh material...
By the way, I am turkish and ashamed of you...

We watched The Compulsions with a talented cast, and both my wife and I really enjoyed it. The film skillfully portrays the complexity of human obsessions, blending drama with subtle humor. Each performance felt genuine and compelling, especially the lead roles. The script was thoughtful and well-paced, keeping us engaged throughout. It's a film that leaves you thinking long after the credits roll. Highly recommended for those who enjoy character-driven stories with emotional depth. Very nice time to enjoy. It's a thought-provoking film that balances intensity with moments of quiet reflection. We highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys intelligent, character-focused drama.
