The Martin Clunes drama rose by 100,000 from last week to 7.43 million (32.2%) at 9pm on ITV (223k/1.4% on +1).
On BBC One, Motorway Cops was seen by 2.70m (11.7%) at 9pm.
BBC Two's University Challenge quizzed 3.01m (13.1% at 8pm, while The Midwives brought in 1.44m (6.2%) at 9pm. Never Mind the Buzzcocks entertained 1.23m (6.9%) at 10pm.
Channel 4's Gadget Man gathered 1.05m (4.4%) at 8.30pm (158k/0.7%), followed by Chicken Fried Shop with 1.05m (4.6%) at 9pm (199k/1.3%). Documentary Porn on the Brain interested 976k (6.2%) at 10pm (139k/1.7%).
On Channel 5, Inside Broadmoor was seen by 1.24m (5.3%) at 9pm (164k/1.0%). Under the Dome was seen by 945k (5.9%) at 10pm (107k/1.3%).
